And as for this update, personally I'm absolutely thrilled with it. The new approach to animation is really a breakthrough, and for the viewer/player, the animations look very cool and cinematic. As they say, "the picture has come alive and started to play with new colours". And many static renders with Monica, especially those where her face is shown close-up, became almost lifelike. Yes, eye blinking was implemented in the last update, but in this update the wow effect is particularly strong. Now she's looking right into the soul.
Marcus' storyline is awesome - it's something I've been waiting for a long time. Clearly this is still only the beginning, but what's most valuable to me is that players have been immersed in a bit of one of the most mysterious plot components that the game has had since its inception. Really looking forward to the continued development of this Path. Monica becoming the administrator of the VIP Escort looks absolutely amazing. I hope DM has a lot more interesting things to show us here. And that mega scene with the punks turned out great, as did Monica's adventure with the "customer" Misty. Julia? Well, that depends on how you feel about her.)
Now I'd like to go back to your phrase about DM throwing a bone to the players. I can't agree with that statement. For one thing, it sounds rather rude. Yes, FB is a game primarily about humiliating Monica, but who says she has to be a "frigid nun" until the very end of the game? Just because she doesn't like sex doesn't mean she can't have it. Do you want humiliation for her? The punks did a great job humiliating her, and then they cheated. You're worried Monica's suddenly going to like sex? You don't have to worry. Monica woke up and barely remembered anything (though she understood what had happened to her).
So I think the DM in the punks scene did a very good job of giving all the players what they expected, as they say in my country: "and the wolves are fed and the sheep intact".
