You install the "Save and quit" mod right?
1.Try to fix this by going to the Mod folder > www > data > System.json
2.Open the 'System.json' with 'Notepad' then scroll down until you see this
3.I can't remember exactly but either you change both the top and bottom from 'true' to 'false', or one change to 'false' and one keeps it as 'true'.

the problem i was having was some models like mercenary_torch kept getting deleted but for some reason after the 12th redownload all pngs are good now so it works now and id rather not touch it again. probably should had mention what the error message was before asking for help
wtf I downloaded it excited and ended up traumatized, who the hell made this game

Would be great if the developers can let us have more sloth in the party like 7 at least, like for the three playable including the player characters then two side characters which is the Girl, Moonless or let them join us but as back up unit for Fear and Hunger 01.

It's been said plenty all throughout the thread, but the coin flip mechanic is such a terrible design decision. Managing random resources? Sure, that can force you to get creative rather than relying on the best solutions. Enemies that can force permanent debilitating conditions on you? I can handle that. Needing to try 3+ times to save the game and slow-walk (if you don't have dash) between screens just to try again? That's just a tedious waste of time.
Everybody wants to be Dark Souls but few devs realize that what makes those games work is that they're not just mean, they teach you to play a certain way and then reward you when you start to think in Dark Souls terms. There's nothing to learn from "you lost a coin flip so you died".
I accidentally tried the sequel first and it does seem like the dev realized that critical features like saving really shouldn't be tied to a frustrating RNG mechanic, but it does make playing this one slow going.
Is there a special use for the fetus you can create with alchemy?
