In retrospect anyone who cares enough about seeing the most render possible can just hide the UI so I made some adjustments, This is better, I think?
For me personally, I'd say yes. Having it front n' center has been the standard for a long time so it's what I and many have gotten use to I suppose. Was very jarring having it down in the corner and stretching across the entire screen. Could I get use to it? I suppose. But im stubborn lol.

I may be a touch out of line with unwarranted advice, but I went pretty crazy with my UI. Lot of adjustability (and more coming), fancy icons/imagebuttons, textbox adjustments, quick menu movements. I still get a few "fuck this shitty UI" comments every now and then. I myself really enjoy when games put noticeable effort into non-gameplay elements.

Which is to say, make the UI you'd want to see in another game. Not what you think players want. You'll get fifty different answers.

This is true. I'm just one guy. If how you had it was what you prefer and how you wanted it for your game, then who am I to say otherwise. There's always the mod.

It's definitely good advice in general, I know you'll never get people to agree to a consensus and there will always be someone who doesn't like something. I didn't really have a strong opinion on text position one way or the other. I was mostly just laying out my thought process on why it was the way it was, and while I personally prefer how I had it before. After doing some research into text position, alignment and it's effect on where the readers eyes is drawn I came to the conclusion that the new text position has more benefits than I had thought and they likely outweigh the benefits the text had before for the general player base. So I've go no qualms about changing it.

While I changed the text, I'm not going to get into the habit of changing things just because a couple of people want me to. Changes have to make sense to me and I can be very hard to convince If I have a strong opinion on something. Appreciate you taking the time to offer advice. I'll be sure to put it to use where applicable!

While the animation work is super rough so far (and that's not a complaint - I can only imagine how it is to learn animation work from scratch) it's a really solid start and I'm even more entertained given how some of this spawned due to WVM's hysterical drama and in the first opening part of the VN, oh look, an actual FOOTBALL game being played already.
Animation is definitely one of the things I have the most to learn about. I really like some of them and feel meh about some of the others. I actually fully redid all of the animations in the latest update several different times and I'm still not 100% happy with them. I've also done every animation including the ones for the next update on inferior hardware to what I have now. Anything over 150 frames and it was a toss up if my pc could have handled it lol. Small changes would take forever to make so there was a lot of times where I would just say good enough. I'm looking foreward to seeing if I fair any better with the new GPU or if I'm just ass :ROFLMAO:

Writing needs worked on and made more neutral or look for the name variable we set them too. Even if you set the relations correct, a lot of times they talk as if they aren't. His dad, his son, etc. Should be just dad, or our dad, and use mc's name instead of his son. They don't even use the relation name you give them. MC still calls "mom" by her 1st name a lot of times. 2 more examples below of script issues. If you're going to have options to set relations, at least use them

What did you set Lianna's relationship as? Because looking at the game's script, you shouldn't be seeing either of those if you set her as mom, mum, mommy, madre, or mother.

It's either they entered a variable the game doesnt recognize or by the looks of it they are using a mod of some sort. I'd assume that's causing most if not all the issues if the prior isn't the case. If there is any dialogue issues due to choosing the relationship they are few and far between it's one of the things I spend a lot of time on I almost exclusively use variables when referring to Lianna and use them for Seph for everything but her name.

Bummer, old saves are useless for now. (Not like it is the end of the world, or huge AVN atm) Thanks for heads up anyway (warning any user who had check this AVN out earlier). I know I may had skipped an update, however looking at old saves on last version tested, I am sure it two version behind anyway. Plus it doesnt hurt to go through again.

Have a great day and be safe... (y)

I'm so glad the workout montages are single click flip-book sequences that go by so fast I actually see them yet don't feel the need to hit tab to skip through it all. Genius tactic. :)

I've never heard this expression instead of "get ready":

Where is that a colloquialism from? Or is it a translation artifact?

I wanted them to be as unobtrusive as possible I know I hate having to hit spacebar or click my mouse a bunch of times in a row so I try to keep that to a minimum.

As far as that expression, The Midwest (USA) maybe? It never occurred to me that it might not be a common saying before. May just be a midwest thing then, I find we tend to have a lot of unusual phrases and quirks at times :ROFLMAO:

Nah, that's pretty standard polite speak for the western US. The deep south is another story, though.

Yeah once you start getting into Louisiana and other deep south areas my brain starts to have a hard time making sense of what they are trying to say lol. Most of the time I'm pretty good but there's definitely times where I'm super lost. Like I can understand Xavier Legette 70% of the time but if the accent is any stronger than that I'm completely lost. I'm not sure what's harder to understand though the deep south or the accent from the more remote parts of Appalachia both make a strong case.

No one has better analogies euphemisms or metaphors than people from the south though

And don't forget that the southern "bless his heart!" is like the politest sounding yet most deeply insulting benediction ever.

I'm an east coast yankee (in tribal American terms) ;) but many close cousins are midwesterners, so I'm a little surprised I'd never heard it before. But only a little, most of them are around MN and they've got their own super-polite roots there. I can usually spot someone from there by hearing how they pronounce "bagel". :giggle: There's a particular twang in the 'a'.

Assuming you're talking about "Needed help getting around" that just means the person has mobility issues usually, it's not necessarily short hand for get ready. It could be used in any instance in which someone needs help doing something due to age/injury/illness/etc. It's pretty common English grammar wise.

* if it's not that, i'm confused as hell cause I literally see no colloquialisms in the pictured text.
