I downloaded girl packs from an index and after downloading and extracting them and then putting them into the girl packs file it says that they're missing a json file and I've checked all the descriptions and they all are the same as the ones from the basic girl pack so I was wondering if I've done something wrong.

Is it all of the packs, or just certain ones? One thing I've run into is if there is ANY difference in the girl's name in the JSON file and the main folder, it gives you that message. So a different spelling, or a letter not capitalized, etc. Most of the time when I get that error, its something along those lines. On a few occasions, I just created my own new JSON file and replaced the one that the other person had made when I couldn't figure it out.

The game structure is strict, meaning everything has to be in the correct folder:
GameFolder (with .exe file and other stuff) - Girlpacks - <GirlName> - JSON_data - description.json

Any variance will cause issues. Also, setting up the game folder on an external has been known to create problems (but I do this and have never experienced an issue).

Here is a handy Girlpack Management tool created by sailer that's simple to use.

You point the folder to your girlpack folder and load. It will show you if there is an issue with the JSON.

If this reads the pack and the game won't, I would guess it is an issue with the structure of your folders or how your computer reads external drives.

Bet a dollar he's got:

It needs to be:

<Venus Club Root>/Girlpacks/GirlName/...

It's a common error, especially when unpacking multiple girls at once. Unpackers like 7-zip ask you where you want to unpack the multiple files. Pick "Extract Here", not "Extract to \".
