Unity - Guild of Spicy Adventures [v72] [Hikkeiru]

An isekai story, poorly written with a massive amount of spelling errors in almost every line. The characters are annoying and their "quirks" are not endearing at all, and often the exact opposite of that, to the point that I honestly would rather get them killed then help them due to the way they act.
The story quite early completely removes any semblance of tension or world building, when you are rescued from your "deadly predicament" by one of the worst deus ex machina moments possible, all done for a "haha funnie" moment that only accomplishes complete deflation of narrative. Why care for anything when you will be saved by idiocy?
Visually fine, not sure if this is custom maid, but it certainly doesn't look much better than illusionsoft stuff.
But most importantly, there is barely any content. Don't get fooled by the file size or the "extensive" changelogs, this barely qualifies as a demo, and every update adds barely nothing at all.
At this point, a disappointing waste of bandwidth and time, an attempt at a porn version of konosuba subversion that does not work on any level.

It's hard to take the game seriously, when not even the game itself can take itself seriously, I like a humorous atmosphere, it made me laugh a few times, but when the humorous atmosphere is just that all the time, it kind of loses its fun over time,like living in a circus with everyone making jokes all the time, sometimes in the midst of so much comedy I just want to be taken seriously by a female character, or that our protagonist acts normally without looking like an idiot or something like that.

As the developer already said on the page, our MC protagonist will not be particularly interested in any girl, so I suppose he will always use every girl he finds in a pathetic way as he always does, His personality is one of those capable of giving a girl a pie in the face and still leaving laughing.

As I'm a more serious guy, I couldn't get too attached to the game or the characters, since I like to get involved in role-playing and be immersed in the game as if I were the protagonist, feel like I'm in history.

the girl in the store treats MC like trash for no reason at all (unlike the other girls who really have a reason to treat MC badly for having an idiotic attitude towards them), the tsundere guard is worse than a 5 year old kid picking on him for anything , the girl from the guild just seeing the MC for the first time already wants to marry him without even knowing his name, the girl in prison will soon arrive sitting on the MC's dick in the blink of an eye

what attracted me to the game initially was the unusual quality of the game, seriously, that incredible rendering must have taken a lot of work, But as the developer himself said, it's not his first work, so creating something of extreme quality like this for him should be easier, The developer's skill is impressive, but I kind of feel like this is being wasted with the way he puts life into the characters as I explained at the beginning.

a game that I'm interested in in the medieval RPG quest style, if you've played any medieval RPG with quests, guilds and missions, you know what it's like, and I really like that, if the game at least put humor in the right moments, at the right time and made the characters care about each other, maybe I would care about it too from my perspective as a player.

In short: the game has extreme and impressive visual quality, but visuals aren't everything, and I'm not a big fan of satire and constant jokes.

Beautiful game with humor that actually hits. It doesn't try that hard to be funny but it just is. I also have to say, I like the ability to um. Have fun with girls without their consent, if you get my drift. Not many games are brave enough to do that. I also like the choices you have in how you approach all of the girls. The biggest negative I think is that its a sandbox of course and that means there are points where you are clicking around fishing for new events. I'd rather it be a more VN style with more choices rather than having to click around this imaginary city and look for events. Other than that, the game so far is sort of short but what's here is damn good. I really enjoyed my time playing it and I'll be keeping an eye on it for sure.

I had this rated at 4 stars since i thought it was a better sandbox and not of the normal type but its just not, its extremly kinetic or should say linear since its sandbox but you are in controle of nothing, you constantly gain relationship points with girls just from talking to them or doing quests, you cant lose points either so the hole relationship system is 100% useless and pointless.

I dident want anything to do with the guard bitch and yet no matter what MC ends out fucking her and i just dont like forced LIs or forced sex scenes, if im not in controle of the MC even with relationships its no longer a game its a kinetic novel hidden behind a linear sandbox.

The art i found very bad, none of the girls look hot and it just look like something made 20 years ago, theres just no quality, not that i would mind it if story is good or sandbox is fun, but thats a huge fail as well since nothing you do matters.
Also theres close to no diversity in builds everyone has big tits and fuck me if it dosent also have glasses to make them even bigger, its awfull for players like me who dosent have a big tit fetish, there might be one normal size but thats about it.

Animations are bland and boring and very low quality even for this type of art.

Music is standard background stuff, no lyric nothing special.

Choices dosent matter and its FULL of fake choices that is only annoying, so you controle nothing and can change nothing, i truely thought this would be a choice driven sandbox for once but i guess my bad for thinking that.

It is relatively short practically a demo, but it is graphically good with quite striking characters, a decent story, a good variety of characters aesthetically speaking and a promising future potential.

I enjoyed it a lot, keep up the good work! Although it's very early on I can see the potential of this just by looking at all the aspects so far (chars, story, animations, performance). I'm really looking forward to playing the game again later on when it gets more updates.

Edit: with a bit of time to think about it and talking to the developer of the game i have come to the conclusion that some points in my review have been slightly too harsh. I am keeping the orginal review below so people get additional information, but you can ignore my part about the website opening randomly. If you are willing to open a random exe from a forum you have other things to worry about than websites opening.
While the other points are still valid, they should not discourage you from trying out the game. While it is random in a lot of places it has a certain B-Movie charm to it, and the potential for further groth is very high with this one! Moving up my rating to 4 stars for now, if the other issues are worked on and the game get's a bit more content under its belt it can easily become a 5 star.

Can't really give much more stars than 3 even though i would like to for the supposed freedom of choice. Simply the fact that the maker allows for rather dark content (comedic rape) is commendable. And art is very good too for koikatsu base, though it sometimes has issues with backgrounds looking very awful/not fitting together in tone.

But there are just some glaring issues that hold back the game.

The biggest one is the writing. The amount of grammar and typo errors is simply unacceptable. I get not having english as a first language, it is not my first one either. But do you see 5 missing A or The in my text?
And even if you have problems, there are so many free/cheap writing checking tools online that could easily fix these things. Hell we have chatgpt now that could rewrite any sentence with less issues than the game has.
Which means the designer either didn't care, bad at his job, or way too lazy. Either option is not reflecting well on the game! Each error is pulling the player out of the game, and with such an easy fix, it really is not toleratable (and yeah i know there are worse offenders, but 2 wrongs don't make a write!)

Then there is the characterization. This game clearly is not taking itself too seriously and the setup is relativly intriguing. But it goes over the top a bit too much a few times, in my opinion. Especially the gigantic random personality shift of the big shop sister is just akward as hell. I mean, i get it, her sister is in danger. But people don't just flip a switch like THAT.

Another big issue is the game framework. If you are touting that you are not using renpy to use a "serious" engine, maybe actually make the framework work as good as renpy atleast? I had to akwardly double click a lot of times because the scene first removed the current speechbubble but did not move on to the next scene right away.
And the fishing mini-game needs a better explanation asap. It only says to hold the key, but you actually have to hold and move the mouse. How can you program that game and not notice how akward it is?

To clarify for everyone worried. This game does NOT activly steal data. My personal point stands that the use of self-opening browser websites is still questionable, but again you are downloading a random exe from a random forum, so all of this is at your own risk anways. The game certainly is worth trying out, so don't be discouraged. But as usual you should keep internet safety in mind (e.g. use a sandbox program for untrusted exe etc.)

Ohh and also fuck off with trying to get data from me? Extra stories with the demand for giving away player data? Heeeell no. You are already encroching the line of beeing shady when you randomly open up a website in the browser for a joke. Sure it was kinda funny, but that can easily be misused for anything, and not a good idea if you want to keep players trusting you.
So the designer has to heavily rethink how he should look at privacy standards for his games!

The dev has worked out my issues with the game.

I really like the story so far, It's a lot darker and more taboo than most Koikatsu games we get.

The characters introduced so far are pretty unique and cute, one of which is a fairy! (or at least looks like one). Maybe we'll finally get a game with fairy fucking and cumflation? but as of right now, she doesn't have any content.

Seeing how the dev has decided to create their game in Unity, I'm excited to see what they will add to make it stand out from other VNs.
The dev is clearly passionate and willing to try to make the best game they can!

Finished the current version, huge potential and already nice flavor of scenes. Really looking forward to Updates and the finished Version of it one day.

Pro's:
- Nice flavor of Scenes can see lots of kinks covered in fuiture versions
- Good Start for the Story so far
- Nice Humor kinda could feel like Konosuba but as a Hentai Game once its finished
- Koikatsu Models (Not everybody likes them but i think they are a nice pick)
- Dev active on F95 answering questions etc.

Con's:
- Not much content for now (30-60min Playtime)
- Some minor Bugs nothing gamebreaking

Made my Review for Version 0.42 - will Update it once i played newer Versions.

+ It has a good amount of actual funny jokes, a lot of freedom, as to what you want and don't want to see, which is something I appreciate.
The animations are enjoyable, the characters already have a very good distinction among them, it's not a simple "here are 10 copies of the same personality game", which is good for an early release, if kept up, it will add to the overall feel, tho also being quite tiring to entertain.

~ Some minor typos here and there, but not too impactful, that it ruins the mood of the game.
I'm not sure if the blowjob scene is supposed to run once and not be looped, but I assume it is a mistake(?).

- My only issue would be, while I appreciate the game having a good amount of H content, the actual length might have suffered from it, there is no harm in focusing on one or two characters and moving the story along and updating it with further content for others, I would have enjoyed to spend more time in the actual game and while it is an early release, when I played it until the guild creation part, after looking if the choices affect the game, I realised, it took me about 20 min to get there the second time.

All in all, if the quality and workflow is kept up, I highly expect it to be 5/5.

Played through the newest version must say this game is definitely a hidden gem. It's a solid 10/10 when it comes to the character design. The story also looks really promising cant wait to see more in the future keep up the great work.

After playing the latest version available to the public, 0.22, I found myself impressed enough that I feel like doing this.

For starters, the premise itself is generic, but the presentation is superb. R18 games are a dime a dozen in this website, the first sign you stumble into a good one is how much effort goes into the beginning -- and you put so much it's kinda creepy. Different shaders and renders than typical VNs, the menu, even the goofy prologue; it's more than enough sign to show a lot goes into this game.

Going in, I get the impression your work is very:
- Flexible (in the range of R18 stuff included, seeing as we begin by trying suicide, being told we might get ordered to kill people, and one of the firstt H-scene we can do is sleep sex), and also
- Dynamic (hell, my mac can barely animate the part where Cylia starts dancing with hololive Ollie's electro swing playing in the background)
- Sexy. The renders of the girls aren’t half-jobs and the available animations aren’t clunky.

When the appropriate time comes, such as when more versions are public, I will spread the work.

My new impressions of the game have improved by a fair margin. The characters still look really good and it might just be me but the MC's eyes are still a bit strange. I still like the fact that elves can't use magic because they are typically great with it in media. It also looks like the Dev got rid of the strange releases. The game also has a satisfying amount of content as of this review. All in all the game has improved greatly since I originally looked at it.

pretty serviceable game so far... the girls are cute and young. the elf has a really nice tight body. great facial expressions that bring life to the girls. story is retarded, so it's perfect for a porn game. mc isn't a cuck and thighfucks unconscious girls which is his god given right as a man
