476 renders in 9 months on a bonus episode that seemed like it should be a breath of fresh air for the developer, ie its production speed should be faster. So when he goes back to episode 12, ~500 renders will take a year to make. 1000 renders is 2 years.

What's actually funny is that judging by the reaction of the devs supporter, they appreciate the bonus episodes and want him to continue making them. Personally, I don't find the bonus episodes worth efforts and attention outside of the main game context, and the speed of development is frankly not impressive, but why this is a problem for those who are not the devs supporters is not very clear to me.

Bonus episodes lengthen the already long cycle between main updates. Updates we all glad to see.

Obviously they, the supporters, don't think so, I mean the part about the bonus episodes. Otherwise they would have stopped supporting him if they weren't happy with him wasting time on bonus episodes. You don't think the dev is blackmailing them into paying a subscription fee, do you?

As for the speed of development, well, that's what this developer can offer. Adults can decide for themselves if they're okay with it and still want to support his project or not.

Is it sad? Yes, I agree with that, the game is not bad, the graphics are still great even though it is a bit outdated and you can find many new games with better graphics now. The characters in the game are interesting and funny and there are many storylines that are still not developed, like Ash, her inheritance and her sister, or the relationship with Shiho and with Samantha, it would be strange to just cut these stories off at the stage they are at now. But good thing it doesn't have "abandoned" tag like many others that started at the same time as HH.

And frankly my sadness immediately goes away as soon as I look at the "Latest Updates" section.

No, I said people accusing the dev of being a scammer are wrong. If supporters feel they are being scammed all they have to do it unsubscribe, it's not rocket science.

I think it's mostly these "opinions" you're advocating for, it's plain scary to realize how unbearably they suffer and how the developer is ruining the game by not fulfilling their reasonable and fair demands.

The dev showed sketches of the water park more than a year ago and said that the update would be released in full, but then released only a part without the water park! At least half a year has passed since then! Instead of finishing this update and releasing the second part, he makes a side story!
The only side story i liked was about the grandfather on the yacht and even that was once again just teasing, no more, no less! What's the point of this?
I don't argue if updates came out every 4 months, then God bless him, but updates don't come out for years and all that story progression just got stuck!
At this pace he makes a side story, while saying that this story will be released for free use only after the release of a new update! Lol
What do you think people should say about such a dev? Praise him?

So that's it. Bonus 9 is almost done. New theme music is coming and work on a Steam release will come next. Once all that is done, EP12 will begin production.

That's why I don't pledge AZ on Patreon. I would like I do for many other devs, but I don't like their work ethic. I pledge some (slow) devs for years for reasons, but I know with them what they do and what's taking their time. Unlike AZ they work on their project constantly and don't waste their time with unnecessary bonus content. As a player I want to see the story and not some side gigs. One update a year is good enough for me, when I know why and what I've to expect. Bonus isn't an update for me.

To be fair, if AZ can get away with the blunt statment he hasn't done shit with the main game for 9 months and the confession he's apparently slower than the slot accountant in zootopia ( 476 renders in 9 months, it's barely more than 50 renders per months ), his pledges deserve to be milked. It's the principle of the natural selection.

It's just a shame that people smart enough to not waste their money on an unreliable developper with low work ethic are also penalized.

Instead of waiting 9 months for the next update, we wait 9 months for filler content. That's how the fanbase as a whole is penalized. It's not so difficult to get, amigo.
