not that i mind but if he wanted to alter her looks the logical thing would be for the dev to make her more slim in future chapters and use the fact she goes to the gym as a justification

She's not fat she's thicc.... It's her genetics. Her mom is built the same way. Her waist and stomach is tight in my opinion... just that she has two bazookas mounted on a dump truck

Nah she's fat, I've just seen the previews and she has excess fat, in her belly area is really evident. She's chubby and a bit saggy. She could be like that over 40 years old after the third child, that would be understandable.
Yes, sometimes it happens in VNs that initially a girl is too fat (according to the Sacred Books), so I wondered if there is a redemption path for MC, where she gets more fit. That would be really interesting, that you make a character improving aspect based on the right choice, right lifestyle. From what I understand from the comments, it's not the case of this VN at the moment.

Your problem is you're suggesting she's ugly because she's carrying some extra weight. If that's your position, there are plenty of other games for you to choose from that don't feature a larger FMC. This one isn't about making a slim, dime-a-dozen FMC, there's no "redemption path" because it isn't something that needs to be redeemed.

You got it wrong. It's obvious that there are different shapes in real life: the attractive shapes and the others. :-D
I did not state she has got a non-human figure. She totally resemble an average looking 45 years old woman. But my question was different, it was about a path where she could get in a better shape. We're talking about a VN here, so it's a fantasy world where you can usually change some characters behaviour with your choice, influencing the outcome.
In real life I would not approach a fat girl in a bar and say: "hey fatso, lose some weight you sweaty walrus!", that would be inappropriate to say.
I was only enquiring about this specific VN because it looked like a possible scenario for a VN, the "turn chubby into a fit girl".

The issue there is, her figure and how she looks is the reason some of us are enjoying it. We want something different than every other game using Daz models.
She loses her figure and the game loses it's appeal.

Yes I understood that you have a different aesthetic preference, but there could be just different paths, one in which she stays in her current aspect, one in which she gets more fit and lose extra fat. It's rare to find in VNs because it gets more complicated to deal with the increased image variations.

If this wasn't a solo dev but a small team sure more options the better. But I have to disagree all that will do is prolong deveolopment time by making a separate branch for no real reason. It feels like it would almost be like making 2 games imo from the sounds of it to me. When it doesn't have anything to do with the main plot / story and would ultimately be just a waste of time.

there's a game called saving Paula that have that kind of thing where u can make the love interest lose weight( get fit) or stay chubby. sadly that game dev is milking piece of doge.

Hello.
The render count is 2134 and animation count is 89. So the art is done, I might add a scene that isn't too big. Not much to say on that front.
Other than that, I've been putting the episode together in Ren'py and testing stuff out. Without spoiling too much, those who played the third episode know that there was some choices to choose from at end of the episode. And due to that, I'll send a build to my proofreader once I have 50% of the episode done, so they don't have to do proofread the episode from scratch, when it's at 100%. I'm very confident that I'll get 50% of the episode done in a week, and send them the build.
I generally don't like to make any promises of release, but I previously was hopeful that I'll get this episode done sometime during the spring, but I'm kinda hopeful that I'd get this done before March is over. No promises though.
Other good news, at least I'm really happy about this, not sure if anyone cares. I played around how the archiving works for the builds, and my dumbass figured out how I can patch the future releases. So, in the future, say you have the full fourth episode, once the fifth episode is done, if you want to, you can just download the content of the fifth episode and drag the files in the main game. Shortly put, the download is significantly smaller, 'cause you don't have to download stuff you already have.
