Nope, I have the latest 0.18.2 and my save created on it, and I have lain's mod but I only gave myself money with it and didn't tweak anything else

Then the answer would be yes, you are using a mod.
You might need to remove it, since it has not, and likely will not be updated for the new versions. If it does not resolve itself, you should try going in, and removing the mod files (or reinstall the game in a new folder) and try again.
I assume you did get the sleep with her event.

Perhaps, but it has also been worked on by several people, and currently known to cause issues in some cases.
