Perhaps that there's peoples who loose patience over the game, perhaps...
But then I'll call it a good thing. We can all witness what is happening, and the more time pass, the more those who still follow the thread are those who really love Notty's works and patiently, like the grown adult they are, wait for the next update.
After all the trolls the thread had in the past, it's refreshing.

Honourable attempt but it's a waste of time throwing answers to the trolls.
Validation. If they get acknowledged, even if it's to fight them, it's the attention they crave. At least for the honest trolls.
Some are devs in here crapping on another dev's work for whatever reason is motivating them.
Of course, we have a classic here on this thread:
If you dont worship Notty and whatever decision she makes, you are automatically a troll.
Basically a "either you are with me or against me" type of thinking.
I dont care about the attention of some random guys who defend their favorite porn artist from whatever critic review she takes, just like you dont care about the opinion of whoever isnt in your "White list".
And now one of you even include other devs as "trolls" like assuming they come here just cause they are jealous or something haha

Exactly, a classic. And anyone who haven't slept through all last two years know that it's not about being pro or con Notty, nor about what is said, but about how it is said...
Between evileeyore's post and yours, there were another one, that no one had complained about, and that yet was removed by the moderation, asking if there were still "brainless who follow that thread" ; his words, not mine.
And what about the other guy who past three months, between February and April 2023, circle jerking between "you all want to fuck her" and "she's milking you", passing from one to the other each time he was making a new post, so around 10 times a day ; yes, during three months, and despite being hit by the moderation more than once during that period.
It's not the worse game thread, but there's not really doubt that it, alas, stand on the top ten in number of members perma thread banned.
No, really, it have never been a question of choice between being pro or con Notty, but between being respectful or not. For around two years, there were not a month without the thread loosing at least 2 pages, therefore 40 posts, when not more, due to the moderation stepping in, mostly by itself, to remove clearly offensive, not to the game but to the dev and players, content ; when it wasn't explicit insults.
Well, I'll not give name, because dev bashing is against the rules, even when it's not the dev's game thread, but for at least one, yes he came here and acted as a pure troll. I don't know, and don't care what his motive was, like I don't care if you believe me or not, it's just a fact.

In my case it's because after ten months of negative posts and attempts to dissuade others to stop following the game it leaves little room for any other motivations than "is a troll".

I would wait at least 3-5 years.
Then the game will either be officially cancelled or ...maybe, unlikely, very unlikely, this developer wakes up from his long-term sleep and ...No , to be honest, it's time to realise that this game is as good as dead.
The content up to now is basically an introduction to the story without anything really happening. A few years ago it was promising, now it's just sad to see. The remastered chapters 1-5 are currently in full scale testing, and expected to be released pretty soon. Best bet is to put it on your alert list and wait patiently for the next release.
Just to make sure you know what you are in for: the dev is a bit of a perfectionist, and the releases have historically taken longer than expected, including remastering an already great game - but the game is very good and worth keeping an eye on.
Despite what trolls are saying, the dev is very clearly still working on this game, the last Patreon post noting progress was about 2 weeks ago. So if you are one of those people who is incredibly impatient and feels like the dev owes you a release according to your schedule you might want to pass on this one. The rest of us just check in every once in a while to see how it is going.

If you go by the developer's posts, somehow everything is always finished "pretty soon" and it just takes a little longer. Then at some point he says, sorry everybody, I've decided to rework something again. But it will only be a bit more time ...
If you want to believe it, believe it. I will rely on the facts in the form of actually published updates instead of promises. Which means that despite all the work that has supposedly been done, not a single update has been completed for almost a year now.
Ultimately, this is the same strategy that I am pursuing. Every few months I check in, and oh wonder, again no update to be found.
Nobody is saying that this game is bad, at least not me, but what's the point of a game that doesn't make it past the beginning of the story because the developer is stuck in an endless improvement loop due to perfectionism?Long stories on patreon about failed attempts to make AI work on the story are no proof that anything is going forward with the game. Progress can only be checked with actual updates. I at least no longer believe that something will actually be released again, and see the whole discussion here more as fun to talk about one more most likely failed project.

False. If you go by Notty's posts you find out how long particular parts of development have taken, but Notty stopped giving estimates because every time they did something happened that interrupted development, like being hospitalized, or their perfectionism set themselves back to square one.
As said, chapter 1-5 are in bug testing and then need to be compressed (after all bugs found are dealt with). So, yeah, by my estimate, maybe a month, two if there's an outrageous "OMG that was such a bug" occurrence.

Is there a reason why the main download section is only for chapters 1 and 2, and chapters 3+4 are in a drop down? Are they not finished yet or something, why aren't they in the main download? And will there be a compressed version of 3+4?
Notty has been remastering the game, eventually up to Ch5 will be released.
