Seems like an issue with either a windows protected folder or a non-standard symbols in the file path.

I generally don't recommend storing games and such in most windows autogenerated folders under protected folders on your C drive (where Windows is) or generally even on it at all, if you can use other storage. Try making a folder like "games" or such and move the entire game folder there and see if it helps. The other likely culprit is if you either have a tremendously long file path or unconventional (symbols from languages other than English, å ä ö etc.) symbols in the file path. Removing those might help and is also generally just a safe idea.

You might also have your .ini set as "read only" in it's properties. Some games and files find issues with that (Bethesda modders lol). Try setting it off, if it's on. Also, Windows defender sometimes prevents save or .ini files from being edited every now and then. Starfield for example got fucked by that when it launched and all autosaves got blocked. If you can see Defender blocking changes under your protection history, you have your culprit there.

Sorry to bother, but is Black Hood still being reviewed?

You can get it there though I can't vouch on the veracity of the downloads. Ryuugames has been more or less fine in the past, but I don't know their safety levels or standards.

Oh, yeah, and the game can be absolutely brutal.

Man thank you so much, it has to be one of those, I will try and fix it right away. Bless you.

I notice in the changelog that there's a credited voice actor, but I don't hear any voice acting at all in this game. Is there a way to turn it on, or is my game bugged, or is it not implemented in this version, or does it just play in one specific part or something?
You have to enable voice acting on the main window. There's a button off to the right, you have to hit "v" (for Voice) to enable voice acting. It's just grunts and moans, but there are different sounds for the different parts of your body you can be attacked. And also some situational noises depending on in-game events.

thanks, what's with the choose your buddy thing? and the used condoms at the bottom? do I have to get 5 million for that stuff or is it a random encounter in a specific level?
You have to complete the story before you're able to choose your buddy I believe.

I think the condoms are randomly consumed as a food source once you buy a certain skill. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while.

Finally this game is here. I had to search the version in Japanese forums for years. Mind that I don´t know the language, so... It was difficult. Thanks Op for saving my life <3
