Came across something I know you'll like.
Hidden Quick_Menu, hover to show. Modified it a little and switched to
Image Buttons, it works great
If you want you can add this to Preferences Screen

Thank you, I had a lot of help on Discord (and from here) to get more stuff added, and while I don't yet need reading glasses myself, the pain was worth adding all that customization because I know I'd appreciate it.
I'll see if I can get this to work, and then probably add it to the 1.9 in early March if I can (or ask folks or help when I get stuck).
The 1.8 is a remake of the game, from the beginning, there aren't any endings included - yet - in the remake. For the next ~3 updates of the remake, I'll be using a mixture of content from the previous edition (with updates, similar to what you'll see in at least one or two scenes in the 1.8) and brand new content that wasn't in the prior edition.
There will be some updates to the harem ending, as well as the other individual endings, and a brand new good ending that doesn't involve Daisy, Lily, or Rose, which reflects possible choices in the game so far.
Maybe? I can't recall if I updated it on that edition after this one or not. If you want the very last version of the branch for sure, it's available on Patreon / Itch / Steam. From memory, there was audio edits, and maybe a bunch of text improvements, but I think the "harem ever after," version might have had most of the images + animations.
LOL... I just started playing... so far, slow paced. But intriguing enough to continue.
I'm just disappointed how many devs think an 18 year old can legally drink alcohol... which would get the server/seller and the 18 year old arrested, fined, or imprisoned for up to 5 years - in the US.
So when MC takes her to the "fatburger" seafood decor restaurant, it's very distracting to have the waitress ask if she's of legal age and mention an ID, which would get all of them in trouble, because she's not 21.

...I think there's a single American flag somewhere in the game in the new version, but to your point, yes, if it was set in the USA (and a lot of other countries) then no, they wouldn't be able to drink at 18.
Should I add a disclaimer about the setting so this isn't jarring to people? Hm.

The more I read of this novel. The More I detest the three main characters
The guy has some real issues and those women are taking advantage of him
Way too much he's an absolute simp.
The three girls are absolutely nasty little bitches who have no redeeming qualities at all
Especially the first girl who moved in he spent way too much money on her
I don't find any of them beautiful or interesting
The only redeeming thing of this novel is his publisher care and the bartender
Are the only women I actually see some are good qualities
I thought I'd give this another shot
after putting it down after trying it when it was 1st uploaded.
Because I didn't like the characters the 1st time a tired
I thought my feelings would change
They haven't they just gotten stronger.
I'm just going to have to pass this one by and delete it
My feelings haven't changed and I don't think they're going to in the future

There was a *ton* of differences in the story between the older version and the remake...but, sure, I get it's not for everyone.
I recently played a different game that had the same issue, but... the Dev added a few lines like:
"Isn't it awesome how they finally passed a law to make 18 the legal drinking age?"
"Could you imagine an alternate universe where that never happened?"
As simple as that.
Which version are you playing? And was it with a save file from an older game, or was it a new play from the beginning?

It's odd that you have a fresh file and this errored out, but I did fix a bunch of things in the 1.85 that had to do with the characters page, so it's possible this issue only appears on 1.8 not the 1.85.
Either way, I think you can do the following to fix the error:
Use control + d to open developer tools, and then set each of those variables to some value, eg:
$saralovescore = 2
$saramaxlovescore= 2
$sarapath = "Unknown"
$sarapathinsights = "I just met her."
$saralovescore
$saramaxlovescore
$sarapath
$sarapathinsights
