So i just chose the open path. I'm shutting it down for the night, but i was wondering if anyone could tell me if that opens me up to NTS (which i like as long as it's not humiliation based) or NTR...which i hate? Are any of the girls going to be having sex with other guys? NTS means sharing so i'm ok with it as long as it's not a cheating/humiliation. Also, are there actual consequences to fucking around still? After choosing open and her saying i couldn't fuck anyone when she wasn't around I immediately went to see Tricia and if you say you have to go she says she'll never call you for anything but business. I kind of thought with "open" i would have opportunities with all the girls, but it seems like i'm losing a path immediately.

EDIT: so i checked tags so i think i'm safe on the NTR and NTS. SO i'm guessing open means we all get to fuck other girls? again though...i'm not overly excited about losing a route immediately after making the open choice if i follow the rules...seems kind of dumb. and if i say no and lose tricia do i immediately lose elizabeth too?

I got some feedback about a few of the scenes toward the end on my Discord that I agreed with so I made some edits (which are in this version, backported from the 1.95, I believe). Originally, if you're exclusive with Daisy after the conversation on ...day 5 I think - then you wouldn't be able to bang Tricia in the library, nor would you be able to sleep with Elizabeth.

However, the way it's done now, you can choose to sleep with them regardless of prior conversations or choices if you have the love score for Tricia or Elizabeth, but as of Day 5 evening, you'll get different content depending on which ending you're heading for which are one of five.

In the original game (the one that's complete) there's a conversation with Daisy about it sometime toward the end of the game if you picked the creampie option at some point before there.

In the remake, there isn't (Yet!) any conversations about that, since they'll be part of the ending(s) for the game, depending on the options selected. That'll be in the 1.99 update later this month, which I'm working on now.

I just assumed that was coming up soon. In 1.90 there's a scene with Elizabeth & MC (the version that's here on F95).

those are the release notes.

That version came out on March 2nd. The latest one is 1.95 (released March 30th) which doesn't have the endings, that's 1.99 which is coming out on April 27th, give or take; I'm rendering in between posting here.

The 1.99 should have the OG scene with Elizabeth, Tricia, and MC. I'm considering also including the OG scene with MC & Tricia in the bookstore...the newer one is different enough there might be value in also including that scene as part of the ending. I haven't really decided for that one way or the other.

Hope that helps clear things up - that scene is soon, since the remake started, I've shipped updates at least once a month.

For example, the suggestion was made that I should remove the bad endings in the early part of the game, which now that things are closer to the end...I see how that makes sense. But, I think that actions should at least have some consequence, otherwise, the ending you get to doesn't seem like a victory.

This leads to my idea, based on some other games (and something we already implemented in Horny Holiday, as an example) where if you get the "bad ending," with Daisy early on, instead of hitting the game over, you'll have a menu that offers the chance to replay *from that point in the game* where you made the decision that led to the game over.

Thus you'll have the "bad ending," but it will be easy to just skip back to that point, change your decision, and then continue on...you can do this already with an automatic save -> load -> then make a different decision, but that's (slightly) more involved, and I don't know how often folks use the automatic save feature in the game to reset to a prior point.

Projekt Passion has similar for their game over scenarios, I believe, which was partly where we got the idea in the first place.

Generally AVNs shouldn't HAVE bad endings, unless the players makes astoundingly stupid choices. Like obviously wrong ones. The ones that are real fuck ups are where the choices are like "go left" or "go right" and one leads to a bad end.

Yeah, I've made some poor game design decisions over the years, and partly why I remade HHD in the first place was to see if I could do better.

I think I have.

Is it perfect? Nah, but it's also not fully remade yet. I think the existing "bad endings," are a way to give the consequences some teeth, but the new failsafe, I think, is a good way to ensure people recover + don't feel like they need to do something complicated to resume the experience.

Alright, there are 4 places early in the game where you can get a bad ending / game over, which now on my local (which will be shipping with the 1.99 update), each time you hit one of those four bad endings due to a low love score with Daisy, you've got the option to skip back to where you'd be in the game without having experienced the game over - OR - to simply quit the game.

I don't have much backlog of suggestions or questions at this point, so if you gottem, feel free to holler. Cheers.
