Might just be how every game of this type ends up tho. Boring and predictable story progression, a huge deterioration of the art with a lot of inconsistency. A shame it was looking pretty good for a time, might be salvageable.

I think the game is still pretty good and well above the competition but yeah, it really dropped the ball but that might just because the start set up such high expectations.

I disagree. The arc 2 seems weaker in general at first, but character's endings are so good and display the labor of character crafting which I think is the strongest aspect of Nitrolith.

And the amount of world building we get as we go on keeps getting better and better. I am not surprised that some people might start losing interest because these types of stories require patience, and in the modern age people's attention spam is getting shorter and shorter.
