If your full download is the latest 20250227 version, no, you do not need the 20250227 update.
Otherwise, yes, you'll need every single new update file since your full download. Say, if you have the 2024Nov full file, you will need the 2024Dec update, the 2025Jan update and the 2025 Feb update, extract at the correct order.

I removed a couple of calls that caused the dialog to freeze. Just replace the file in this path: [game folder]\Text\English_Main\Story

I downloaded the translations that the OP linked to. but are there any newer ones? and if so can you point me to them. the website the other post referred to is incredibly confusing to me
Because the English translation is always going to be behind, whenever you get to new content where there isn't an English translation, the game bugs out. So it's simply safer to just play with the JP translation to ensure that you don't run into those situations.

I thought my insomnia was getting better, but it's gotten worse again recently.
It seems that I won't be able to get better unless I address the root cause.
I think the cause is the stress and anxiety of game production, but there's nothing I can do about it.
I went to a psychiatrist for now, so I'm going to prepare myself and get addicted to medication.

If you're going to get addicted to something, may as well be something that'll help you [ie: anti depressants, etc].
Obv addiction is "bad" but his current method of just mustering on come hell or high water doesn't seem to be doing him any favours either.
