I also encountered this bug and after trying several things, I clicked to QUIT but hit No on the alert windows and then the game continued correctly.

when you save it puts an underscore on the file rename it day 23 and it works

This file essentially replaces a keyword in the script.
Old Day 23.rpy file on line 3128

scene d23-456 with fade

is replaced with

show d23-456 with fade

Also, his file seems to have an encoding issue replacing … and ’ with weirdly encoded ones. Doesn't cause issues, but it's unpleasant to read.

Same for the new update. After the scene where angel threatens rose and penny, a video is playing when it shouldnt be

edit: Here's a temporary fix guys:
just put it in Quest folder within game folder

Hi all my compressed unofficial Android port of In For A Penny 0.64
Usual gestures, save name/delete, seethru textbox, resizeable game and dialogue text.
Scrollable choices (when multiple and large)
Scrollable textbox - no more text off the bottom of your screen
Alternative persistent saves/log location

**Special Instructions:**

Install apk.
Grant storage permissions on first run!
On first run you will get a prompt to copy the archive.rpa file to documents/Wills747/infor.apenny/game folder.
(game will quit now)
Copy the archive.rpa file to the directory indicated in game.
Restart the game.
If your default install location is an actual SD card and slow speed this may slow the launch.
Also, keep archive.rpa. I'll use it for future updates to minimise the apk size.
