I've been a bit under the weather this week and only started recovering yesterday. Despite this, we've been finishing up the final scenes for the next public release, bolstering my confidence that we'll make the internal schedule of having the release go live next month.


We have two pinups to share this month, so if you're a patron, remember to check out our poll on how you feel about the pinups and whether we should keep doing them or not!

In preparation for Draegan Herald and Syndicate's release, we've renamed the Infinite Stars Community Server to the IF THEN ELSE Community Server. It's still the same server (perhaps a bit tidier than before) with a new logo and a new name, so if you want to hang out with the devs and fellow fans, come say hi! <3

Also, a reminder that we'll be doing a small price increase to our Patreon membership tiers from the 1st of March. Patreon has been nagging us about it. We hate price increases, so we're keeping them to a minimum. I'll keep reminding everyone about this every week until the increase happens so no one feels blindsided.

I'm not sure what you mean by not been here for a while, it's been just barely over a month since they last posted here and I'm fairly sure they stated that they intended to release 4 updates this year. Going off that 3-4 months dev time is to be expected, thanks for the share though, appreciate the thought.

Another Friday! That means I'm typing up another devlog for all of you.

Let me start by saying I realise the current development cycle has been excruciatingly long. I feel it in my bones, and I'm sure you also feel it. Regardless, I want to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and continued support while we wrap up the next release.

We're gearing up to start coding some of the finished scenes, and we've been experimenting with some new features, like the ability to change how the crew members appear on your screen.

Anyway, I'm diving back into work! Have a pleasant weekend, be safe and be kind to others and yourself! <3

Happy Devlog Friday to all of you!


My day job continues to be a job during the day, but despite that, we've been chipping away at Infinite Stars. I started coding the completed scenes this week, and Crowbie and Ur-Majesty have been invaluable in getting the last few scenes done. (We had a 'writing party' earlier this week; it was more of an excuse to reconnect with everyone on the team, but we did get a bit of writing done!)

Project Syndicate and Draegan Herald continue to make progress and should be ready for release shortly after the next Infinite Stars release.


This is also the final heads-up about our price increase from the 1st of March. In case this is the first time you've heard of this, Patreon has been nagging us to do a price increase to adjust to inflation (it seems like they care about the sustainability of the project). If you're an existing subscriber, you won't be impacted for at least another month, and Patreon will give you an opportunity to downgrade or cancel your membership, should you wish to do so. If you're a new subscriber (after the 1st of March), the new pricing will take immediate effect for you.


We've taken this opportunity to shake up our reward tiers and benefits.


In a nutshell:


We'll be offering a new citizen/tip jar tier for those of you who wish to continue supporting the development at the current $3 tier.


The ensign tier will change from $3 to $5


The Lieutenant tier will change from $8 to $10


The Commander tier will change from $12 to $15


The remaining tiers won't have their pricing changed, but we have added additional benefits where you can 'commission' new outfits for your favourite crew members while helping us expand and develop the new outfit system. While we experiment with this, the tiers will have limited availability and be on a first-come-first-served principle.


We'll also add an Architect tier with an honorary dev flair and a few other unique benefits.

Just a super important reminder: if you signed up for the Beta Testing, you still have until Sunday to give us feedback. Please don't forget to do so! We look at each and every response, and we try to implement your feedback as much as possible!

With the Beta Testing deadline being this Sunday, it means (touching wood, unless something goes terribly wrong) that our public build will launch next Friday, in time for everyone to enjoy the new content over the weekend!

In addition to the new story content, we'll also have another launch cross-promotion, bringing a few more MC portraits into the game!

We've also already started implementing some of the Beta Feedback received by those few early birds. (Thanks for that!)

It's a great one because today is launch day!

We've been working very hard on this one, and we're sorry it took a bit longer than usual. But I'm happy to say we're in good shape for the next upcoming release.

Some highlights that you can look forward to in the newly released content (minor spoilers ahead):

If you and Matthias have been making eyes at each other, you can share a very tight, uncomfortable ride in a small elevator. You won't be able to help but 'accidentally' rub up against Matthias and fluster him.
If you want to get a little closer to the enigmatic and usually inappropriate Andreas, you can do so while on a chaotic shopping spree for some exotic substances.
If you just want to spend some slice-of-life time with Veera and Khalil, you can meet some new friends and pay homage to some loved ones. (You are loved and missed, and now you are forever immortalised little sweetpea.)
If you have a thing for the strong Captain types, you'll have the opportunity to make some suggestive comments and take some mildly inappropriate actions.
You get to meet some new alien species. Some of them are icky and gross (and yet also sexy, according to feedback? \o/)
A new sexual orientation system that allows you to pick who you want to be able to flirt with.
A new rival system (very new and not fully fleshed out yet.)
A new status message on the main menu will show you how much of all the available content you have experienced. (It's impossible to hit 100% right now due to some seasonal content.)
All the regular 'new' stuff: new music, new backgrounds, new characters, new portraits, etc.

We also added some niche scenes that most of you will probably never see. The conditions for these to trigger are stringent, but they hit the spot just right if/when you do see them.

Now that this release is done, we'll probably take a break for a day or two and then jump back into things. Our attention will shift to working on and releasing Project Syndicate in May while still working on Infinite Stars on the sidelines:

Bugfixing and polishing existing content.
Adding some more intimate scenes for patrons.
Adding some more cutesy ,non-intimate scenes.
Expanding on the friendship and rival system.
Finalising and adding the new outfit system.
Finishing the next (halfway? done) content.

Those of you who have been around for a while know that we love doing cross-promotions during releases, and this release is no different. We have something special thanks to Esh from Steamberry Studio, the creator of When Stars Collide!

When Stars Collide is a fantastic sci-fi visual novel, (inspired by Star Trek, Firefly and Star Gate) and Esh is an even fantastickler(er?) human. You should definitely check out her project and consider supporting her on Patreon if you like what you see.
