I actually think the numerous dream sequences are the reason Mel will be first.

She's been holding that geyser back for months, MC just needs to do a little prodding to get it gushing.

I think Melissa is the answer too, the way her character is built she doesn't need the slow build up of trust, comfort, support, that Erynn requires, she just needs to reach her tipping point which could be any minute from now.

We won't need to go in any dates with her, she'll just pull the guy inside the house and go for a wild ride .

As for Erynn depends on how long Nyx wants to keep her afraid to commit, i hope not too long... it's already stretching too far.
