does anyone actually like Vinny as a potential romance? I love him as extrovert gay friend, but I don't think he has any appeal and his main role is to say yasss queen slay to everything the MC does and that's ok

Yeah, I appreciate him more as my gay "big bro" who helps me navigate the queer world, and is amusing while doing it.

Same. I've always seen him as the "mom" of the group. He's funny, inquisitive, and quite observant. There's hardly ever dull moment with him, but I don't see him as boyfriend material
I think he's too much of a caricature to be appealing to the majority of people me included, but I don't mind that's an option for inclusivity and because he can be fun
I feel like their are to many romanceable characters and that none of them have gone anywhere yet.
it's not clear which ones are just flings and which ones supposedly have endings associated with them

My best bet is that the true main love interests are our roommates, Jorge, and Raymond. Everyone else is just friends with benefits or flings
as long as Jorge ruins my guts forever I'm good, though having Kian the bartender would be awesome too
