Bug report, or just a funny quirk: I killed her.
(EDIT: for clarification, one of your attacks is a side swipe, which goes wide enough that it hits her even though she's in the background. I did it by accident at first, but then decided to keep going to see what happens.)

What will we get in the soon-to-be-released-build™?
More character species? actual enemies to fight? a small explorable map? I liked Hole Dweller because of it's characters, artstyle, customizability and outfits. I hope this game goes pretty far. Though there are a few species that I'd love to see, Deers, Elks, Coyotes, etc...

1st build would definetly not have more characters, expect combat and a small portion of the final map, if you look on the patreon/substar there are public post with progress

The dev is either an experienced/professional dev dabbling in nswf as a side project, or a porn game prodigy.
Its crazy how great the current foundation is.
-Great, simple 3D artstyle without the usual size/performance drop
-Combat system that feels quite nice
-Well animated erotic scenes
-Dialogue framework looks great with the cute dynamic character reactions
Despite being essentially just a tech demo, it's already more impressive that 99% of other NSFW projects.
Can't wait to see the future updates. Also based king single handedly carrying the hmofa game genre.

This is so true, this dev is making a game that has good gameplay on top of being god ad pron, and that is something very rare in games, you always get one or the other. As a dev I understand why, merge both is hard and you might need to focus in one, (Although I will try in the future) but yeah, a legit good dev.

Honestly?, still sounds really fun and ambitious, just the idea of making 3D Hole Dweller with more content is good enough. Also, the game gives you room to add more content in the future if you want.

NGL, even though the combat in the demos were pretty cool, I like sex/fetish sandbox/simulators better anyway and I like the change.
Might be a hot take, but despite lewd games and regular games being two sides of the same coin, I get kinda iffy about games trying to "land on the edge" and do both at once.
The best takes on lewd games (IMO) are either:
A: making a solid, full-on game and keep it SFW enough that you can basically play them publicly and only just get a couple weird glances (Atlyss, plus some of those really boobalicious anime games and gachas), or-
B: dropping all pretenses about making a "game" that it's basically just NSFW top to bottom, just there to fap to, and any gameplay is simply there to pad the time out a bit to pretend the game's a "game" without committing to it, or simply to get you to the next NSFW scene.
Some people say Tribal Hunter falls in the middle, but that's immediately a porn game. Despite what people say, it's just mostly fetishes that "normal" people don't think of as fetishes (inflation, vore, WG), and biggest of all being that it doesn't contain any fetishes that Youtube complains about, which means streamers got to play it going "heehee, I'm playing THAT game, look how big he's getting! [joke about big chungus]"

Another trap that a lot of "porn game that's a REAL game too" games have is that the devs tend to forget that people are there to fap, not to minmax stats for half an hour, respec and test out a glass cannon build so they can hopefully take out G'sniax, The Destroyer and his army of skeletons, they're there to bang the princess that G'sniax is guarding. If there's any cutscenes, they're getting skipped unless there's some naked chick there too.
If a player has 1 hour of free time to play lewd games privately before bed/work/whatever, and the epic battle lasts for 2 hours, they'll just leave disappointed, never able to fap. (I mean, if the skeletons are all busty as hell and get added to your harem as you kill them, then maybe...)
Or like, the player's edging as he enters the princess's tower, only to find one of his old party members standing over her torn corpse with a knife stolen from the MC in the last chapter, doing so to frame the main character because of some old blood feud as the game switches to a long cutscene about that party's backstory, and about the current plan to use the princess's death as a catalyst to turn the whole nation into a heaping wreck of wars and famine, all while the player's got a deflated dick in his hand and the main character goes into a depressive episode, the next half-hour of the game spent with him haunted by what could've been, what could've stopped that party member, who set him up, why him?
Like, man, I complain about it a lot, but BE Witches does this shit hard. It's a game all about breast expansion, but you get one tiny scene at the beginning of the game going from like flat to an A cup, then you get not one single lewd scene for like 4-6 hours, barely even any tiddy monster characters, and the plot has your mentor die from a spooky horror monster thing, you get thrown in jail, you meet someone with amnesia, you escape death several times, etc. Even then, the implementation of "breast expansion" in the game called "BE Witches" is just some one-off upgrades you get by finding optional collectables, and it's just swapping their image to the next size, rather than really being anything about "expansion" like you'd expect. Might as well call it "Busty Witches" or something, with how little you get to actually watch boobs expand.
What's funny is that even though the dev puts in most of their effort in the gameplay, it gets repetitive fast, so after like 5 hours of this, I was skipping puzzles and avoiding fights just to get to the lewd content faster and never got any. Didn't care about the plot, didn't care about the characters, didn't care about the death, hated the boss fights.
Doubly funny is that the dev didn't even seem to notice or care about the lack of lewd content until I pointed out that having 1 tiny BE scene within the Steam return window for a game about breast expansion is a stupid idea and a quick way to get a lot of refunds.

Not a fan of the maid stuff, I think you'd be better off just making Hole Dweller but 3D if you want to downscale. Sticking to your roots would help allot since you wont need to focus on inventing a new story, then later on you'd be able to reuse the same Code/Animations for more ambitious projects... But a cleaning game, that just feels like too much of a different direction for the audience you've built so far.
