So uh, what's the deal with cannons?

From what I can see they don't give much attack at all, and any damage that comes from them has to come from Knight's Blast. For me that's a bit too overspecialized, besides canes could do more damage without being being forced into having all thoughtput come from one skill.

Sure, cannons make you tankier, but considering that you're gonna burn HP on Knight's Blast anyway, that's not of much help IMO. Besides, canes are onehanded, so you can use a shield alongside them.

So far the only thing that comes to me why one would pick cannons is maybe they scale better? But so far I'm not seeing it.

Also those 10% enchants are a freaking trap. Sure, if you get them to stick, you get an item that will stay with you for a very long time, but if not then the item is pretty much bricked since failures still exhaust how much an item can be enchanted.

Cannons have a bit more investment and higher growth in return to Canes who start off at a higher scale but tap out halfway in the DPS department.

Once you max out Knight's Channel and obtain Cannon Mastery, you'll see the scaling go WAY up and higher than the Canes. Every new Cannon after that will stack a percentage in DPS after the fact, too. I've seen certain players deal way higher like this player.



As for the Enchants, yeah it's 1:1 in Maple Story lol

It can benefit you but also backfire but you get so many usually it's worth a random chance to see what happens.

I appear to have screwed up Valerie's "use your body if you get caught" flag.

I assumed that the choice given when she asks to retell what happened is to skip it, not cancel them out completely.

Does the choice not come back if you redo that particular mission? It should loop every time

Basically, after Valerie has failed a mission, once I click the "recount what happened" button, the dialogue just ends. I still get the rewards as if she did seduce the guards.

I'll try it one more time later, maybe it's just a freak accident.

EDIT: Looks like i'm not getting any more failures, she just succeded in that mission twice in a row.

We'll look at the button and see how to make sure it's fully repeating

use "ESC" key to exit. or solve the puzzle (u need sound on)
also, u can create a screenshot using the "printscreen" key, the picture will be placed in the same folder as the game.

But yeah, really wish Maple scrolls didn't take enchant slots if they failed; made it way harder & more costly to get good scrolled gear. (Even with the introduction of white/shield scrolls; maybe especially so, since they were only obtainable through Gacha & single use.)

Edit: Ps. & One of the reasons I like the unlimited scrolling feature.

hmm...got an oddity here. though i am not sure if it is me misreading things but some of the stuff popping up of treating me like i chose the corruption path but i didn't. i went love full tilt and also even though i 100% skipped/ignored the Malady quest it treated me like i actually did the quest. i never even engaged with her at all and it somehow triggered. also at the same time i'm getting love quests too. so i'm not sure if something got crossed somewhere but yeah that's weird. on one end i'm getting the choices i made correctly but rando corruption results. mainly it was with the malady thing but other small things here and there.

from all my playthrough's i understand it's avoidable. i haven't seen it happen. most of the ntr i think happens on the corruption path i think. but don't quote me on this. been a fun game though.
