Ren'Py Lab Rats 2 - Reformulate [v2024.08] [Tristim/LZ_Starbuck/Trollden]

After spending some time playing LabRats2-Reformulate-2024.09-betaVTMod4.0.28, I've found some storylines severed: Stephanie and Ashley, the Nightclub and the one involving Kaya and Erica. Ellie, the IT girl, remains as unfinished as always with her anal issue.
It was april the 6th (game calendar) when I decided to quit and restart with the plain GIT version.

My questions are, which mod is causing this? Is there gona be a fix for this anytime soon? Those extra serum trait slots are much useful, but doesn't worth stopping the game progression IMO.

Go into game\major_game_classes\serum_related\serums, there are various .PY files that can be edited.

No modders touches official storyline. Kaden adds some new storylines for Lily. My mod doesnt add storyline, but its has mostly random events and QoLs, and VT adds more personalities and adds the virginity system.

Those storylines you mentioned are simply, not written yet. The next version will mostly be focus on Nora storyline, and new dating systems, which adds a lot more date types and no more dates limited to days, so you can have movie dates on Monday too for example.

I think it was 2024 05 the story lines worked but, 2024 08 and 2024 09 modded they don't work

- Ah, you refering to the coffee date scene, yes, that was scrapped after Ash got her last update. Her harem storyline with Steph is being redone thus they both got blocked from joining harem. I dont recall her being blackmailed?
- I dont know how much you played the storyline for night club, but other then changing the requirement to buy it by introducing an alternate way, IIRC catching Gabby strip dancing, the nightclub storyline is doable, not much but there.
- It still there on Tuesday evenings at the library, Kaya got her whole backstory rework, so she is no longer be your stepsister, but all her storyline stays.
- Ellie's anal fetish is not written IIRC ... never into anal, so never dig deep into it.

Storylines for Stephanie and her sister Ashley are being reworked. As for the others, their storylines haven't yet been completed. Most of this was explained in the comment by Deane9850 right before your own comment! Christina Vandenberg is, currently, a somewhat minor character and likely won't be worked on for a while. The maid for your home is a fairly new character and has more storyline that is yet to be written. As for the Strip Club, currently you need to progress the storyline with Cara Thrace (owner of the sex shop) which requires that you invest multiple times in the sex shop and complete her promotional events.

It seems that there are quite a few folks who don't seem to understand that this is a Work in Progress and, therefore, currently does NOT contain fully finished storylines for every character.

a) the event has been reworked (surprise!)
b) a faulty release
c) a bug during the gameplay that kept the event to trigger
d) all of the above

But when someone stats somethings not working as it should, or that existing content should be completed before adding new events; then another one starts with puns and/ or the classic "you are free to contribute"... but what if I can tell I'm contributing by assuring those events won't trigger in "LabRats2-Reformulate-2024.09-betaVTMod4.0.28-pc", but they do as always (except the reworked ones) in a clean GIT no mods installation?

and we thank you for rporting... but without save files, trist cant check on why its not triggering for ur nightclub and study night. the other 2 case i have answered.
i can consistently buy the nightclub and the study night always trigger for me, and no one else reporting the said problem on discord either. i rarely visit here but me and elkrose are always on discord so drop in and ask. we wont bite, we promised. unless you troll, then all bets are off.

If we didn't finish the storylines why do we care about finishing them if they're locked so we can't finish them? I'm so confused.

They are locked because inattentive peoples will then add unfinished storyline character to the harem mansion then get mad because the game broke.

I empty the RenPy folder in user's folder before starting a new game.

When these old saves are not deleted, I find new game behaviour erratic as it was fetching old saves progression and applying them to that new game. I cannot test anything that way.
