Everytime the game gets an update you will have to download the newest version (if you do it patch by patch you will have to only download the update patch, if you miss 1 update you will have to download it all)
If you mean the one in the first post, then yeah, it's the latest version. It gets updated in the thread, but the thread itself is not promoted.

It’s a Kaori event from Chapter 4, particularly from update 0.40 (also known as the Camping Trip update).
It’s one of the most confusing events in the entire game, so I’m not surprised it won the poll. Here’s hoping Sel will shine some light on some things about it in the Commentary.

Maybe this is my internet age showing, but I 'grew up' in a time where the expectation was to lurk moar before joining into a large community. Even the sheer size of the download section of the OP told me I should find out what I'm getting into before I get into it. (and I did, learned about the care packages and why I shouldn't install them, URM, guide mod, a few other mods which I didn't end up using in the end.)
Even found out about the huge ayane love choices like Sprungler just found and vowed to grind for them when I did my proper playthrough, and I did. Over a week of grinding and then two and a half months to reach current update.
Kinda feel sad for itch players for that reason.There are so many hostile walls in the game if you're blind. Though the >10gb download size would make me question the game in the same way.
You haven't even met half of the characters yet, this is still a classic VN to you. The porn comparison was because you want to feel good immediately. Even harry potter has the part of the story where he's just a kid who lives under the stairs with abusive guardians because his parents are dead.
This game repeatedly causes people to break down with emotions, and there's a ton of testimony in this thread about it. Most games on the site don't get people emotionally invested like this one does. At the point of the story you're at, it's merely comparable to them.
There's a bunch of pretentious fluff surrounding events that you usually have to read through and that never fully goes away, but you don't even know why I can get a bunch of people in this thread telling me too soon when I poke a stick in just the right spot. Even all of the insults I've given you are written in a way to dare you to keep going (With the aforementioned guide mod ofc, maybe the autovn mod if you can't stand affection grinding. Hope you havent got any missed events)
The CH4 camping event with Kaori and a little of Ami. Something about happy stories and a few deer parts.

On the 1st, you'll need to find the link posted in the thread by someone, op takes a while to update. It's also likely a patch file to come out first so you'd need the previous version anyway
(remember we won't have an update for this month since we're getting lilfest instead)

Ngl i want to see what will Sel do with Chinami's option so i really want that to win. Im sure he wont have balls to do anything explicit so i can expect some cute and extremely adorable reactions from Chinami

Staying with Chinami's 100% going to win there's no contest. He'd have to promise prime making an appearance in 0.49 or something to go the other way.

I liked most of the characters, but if you create several single-minded characters who all want exactly the same thing, with zero obstacles in their way, just needing to unzip their pants to make it a reality, and they can't manage to find their zippers in the first 54 days, that ain't good story. That's as shitty as it gets.
As to moving on to something better, that aready happened.
I don't know what that word means, but there is no buildup in LoL. Just because nobody's getting laid doesn't mean something is bulding. Several characters were DTF on Day One. Where do you even "build" from there?
