Lewd Invasion Review
I'll try to make this review of Lewd Invasion as honest as possible. But I'll warn you in advance that I'm not a Bleach fan, and my knowledge of the series is minimal – I only know a few waifus.
Story
The game's plot is somewhat simple, but it still manages to engage the player. From what I saw, we take on the role of the protagonist Ichiko Kurosaki (MC). The game presents the Bleach universe in a more adult way, and you progress through the story while building relationships with the female characters.
Animation – ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
In terms of animation, especially in the more raunchy scenes, the game deserves a 4/5. There are few games that can deliver this type of content in a natural and well-animated way, without seeming forced or strange. So, in that regard, I have no complaints.
Female characters – ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
No comments! All the characters are well modeled and voiced, and, visually, they are extremely faithful to the original material, thanks to the model used to bring them to life. I don't know much about their personalities, so my evaluation is more aesthetic.
Soundtrack – ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
The background music is just ok, serving more to avoid total silence. However, they could have invested in sound effects during combats, which would help a lot with immersion.
Content – ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
The content is still a bit scarce in the current build – the game only covers two weeks of the story, ending one day before the MC's vacation. But, until then, there is a lot of interesting stuff happening.
If you play with little time available (like me, who only plays in the morning and at night), it can take almost four days to finish the current content. Those who have more time and read quickly can finish it in 15 to 30 minutes.
Now, the negative points…
Honestly, there are few, but it is still worth mentioning some problems.
1. Limited sexual preferences
On the second day, Rukia asks the MC about his preferences (large breasts, feet, butt, etc.). I chose large breasts and got the classic "Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well!".
The problem? The game only features three characters aligned with this preference: Orihime, Rangiku Matsumoto and Yoruichi. But if we analyze it better:
Orihime → I'm not attracted to her because, I don't like romances with childhood friends.
Yoruichi → Although she is amazing, her breasts are average, so she doesn't fit 100% with the chosen preference.
Rangiku → The only option that really makes sense within my choice.
In other words, the game suggests a variety, but in practice, the choice becomes limited.
Not to mention that many female characters follow a specific fetish pattern, such as:
Small breasts + tsundere (Rukia, Soifon, Hiyori)
Childhood friend + small breasts (Tatsuki)
Small breasts, again (Lisa)
And I simply don't like that at all.
2. False sense of choice
The game gives the impression that it gives the player freedom, but at times this is not true.
Example: one day the MC finds a mysterious note asking him to go to a certain address. You can ignore it and go to school, but when you get there, the plot forces you to go there anyway.
If it is a canonical and mandatory event, why give the option to choose? It would be better to just have the MC go straight to the event?!
3. Weak relationship system
Currently, the MC gains relationship points with the girls through training, but that doesn't make sense. Ideally, the points would increase through dialogue and choices throughout the game.
Conclusion
Overall, Lewd Invasion is a fun game, with potential to grow and improve. Even with some flaws, it kept me hooked for almost a week – and I barely have time to play it.
If we ignore the issues of false choices, forced fetishes and the incomplete relationship system, the game is still worth playing, especially since it's one of the few lewd Bleach parodies available.
I would love it if, in the future, the sex scenes and encounters would automatically align with the sexual preferences chosen by the MC on Day 2. This would make the experience much more immersive.
