Could argue that sure, but do you think a dev who has a reasonable price is more likely to get people to sub? Or having a high price for an update to the game leads to more people waiting for someone to post it for free to them?
He has reasonable prices though. He's got multiple tiers including a free tier. Now if the updates were 6 months apart I'd understand. But it's only a single month between free updates. He gets €2,380/month because of this. No one is required to pay. The game is literally free and there are no paywalls unlike some other games, which also take longer to come out.

Let me simplify it: he's saying that his setup is reasonable, especially because it ends up being free either way. If being reasonable isn’t enough to stop leakers, then nothing is, and no change is needed.

Let me also add that nothing is going to stop leakers. If they want to leak, they will. They don’t care about what’s reasonable or fair, nor how long it takes to come out (none of which should even be factors for free games). Many games get leaked on the same day they are released. The only real factor behind the likelihood of a game being leaked is the hype around it.

I see, well, you'd actually be right though. Someone with reasonable prices would actually get more people to sub. I've seen devs who don't offer free, or completely free versions of their games to have more people willing to pirate their games and less people offer them money.

A good example of this is what happens in Brazil, where games get really high prices due to money conversion. When the devs go out of their way to manually change the pricing there and lower it, much more people tend to actually go and buy it than pirate it.

It's the same thing here, people are willing to support a dev who offers something good for a low price or even free.

Bro, his price is like 1/2 of a low end steakhouse dinner, let's be real here ... it's already very cheap.

And you have to do an actual market research for the answer imo, but regardless it's not that high to begin with.

You are comparing two different things here. It's already hard justifying to someone to pay a monthly sub for something that isn't even guaranteed to be updated every single month. But you are competing with every other monthly sub service. That 10 dollars spent on this to get the game a little earlier than free enjoyers could have been spent on netflix or crunchyroll or disney+ or an MMO subscription or so many other things that would provide more value than getting an extra 30 minutes of a porn game a little early. Now if people have the disposable income to do it, great, but saying "bro it's just half the price of a nice meal" is a little silly.

It's a half price of a so so meal. Different price tags for different people I guess... and you're kinda wrong there, i'm not supporting to just get a game early, it's an expression of my will so that these kind of things can exist and proliferate.

I'm post-economic so yeah.

You can either afford it or not, porn should not be some shit you try to fit into your budget. If you're trying to argue like that other guy that he'd get more subs by charging less then, since making the tier changes, I don't actually think his paid/free ratio actually changed much if at all but his earnings increased quite a bit... Doesn't that kinda just beat any arguments like "he would do better if"? He still has $10 tier for 2 week early release like in the beginning, he's just added 2 more release tiers but overall, I swear the actual wait time is less, no? The wait time between each public release that is.

I know I'm overhyping it — trying to lure more people in. The more people, the more stress on the devs! Ready to rate it 5/5 but can't find the right word to describe how much potential it has.

So much potential… but watch them abandon it somewhere at 0.23 and leave us hanging :HideThePain:

Bro its like 1/30th done. Its nowhere close to masterpiece, stop throwing that word around lmao.
There are not all that many ntr/corruption games that pull off 'strong woman slowly getting corrupted by someone she hates' well. And there are even less good games that pull it off with a single character(aka more depth in the story line). So as far as I am concerned calling this game a masterpiece is actually fair.

Its been good so far I think, I do think people asking for hero's may have to wait for it to be lowered a tier or two before being leaked here. Don't think too many are doing the 25$ sub at the moment. I generally think any dev asking for more than a 5$ sub is a little crazy considering updates generally will have 30min to an hour of actual game play.
