VN - Ren'Py - Light of My Life [Ch.8 v0.8.2] [Naughty Road]

WTF?
I played this game for so long right now, one of my favorite games and i didn't even notice that i never left a review.
In my opinion, this is a typal 5-star rating game.
- The story is very well written
- the plot doesn't go as straight forward to fuck as other games (meaning, the feelings, hesitations and characters thoughts go up and down)
- the renders are really nice
- the maya-look of the girls is something special (not just the worn out standart looks like in other games)
- no bugs or similar
- a game you just have to enjoy

Only negative point so far:
It's a One-Man-Show and the dev is just able to push an update every 3-4 Months -> nevertheless really worth to wait the next one

Seriously impressed with this game, Dev deserves a lot of credit for this.
Storyline upto now seems top notch and there is a good buildup and flow to the game.
Keep it up will be looking forward to further releases.

NaughtyRoad is doing a perfect job. this game has a beautiful storyline that makes you appreciate everything else even more...the animations and characterization of the characters, each different from the other, has nothing to do with past games. Usually each game is inspired by something else, this not...This is the best game ever.

For an adult - porn visual novel Light of my Life excels at storytelling.
- It sets the stage with simplicity, allowing for the story to take a natural course.
- It makes use of an excellent tool in order to open the game into conflict.
- It develops, what is usually an outlandish idea, in a believable way.
- It captures dialogue much better than most games.

As for other areas, it might be considered a 'slow burner'. But there's plenty of erotic material.

The models of the 'wards' are perfect. They look very good and they are unique to this game.

Overall, I am looking forward to how it develops, and wish the developers the best!

I'm one of those people who found themselves put off by the looks of the girls, and right now I'm wondering: How? Why? They're both gorgeous!

If you find yourself in the same boat as I was in, I can almost guarantee that by trying the game, you, like me, will come to see the error of your ways. The story is engaging, entertaining, funny and touching (in a way few other VNs can match), and together with expressions and poses makes you realise how attractive these two girls actually are.

The only negative I can think of is that I'm done with the available content and now have to wait for more

This might be a chump review but I just got to say than when the part with all the pornstar names came up, I was 100% picking up what the Dev was putting down. Story and characters are A+ , and I'm enjoying it so far. Great to see some different bodies and finally some color in incest porn games. No offense to all the PAWGs in equally great games out there, but I'm just saying. Finally some good fucking food.

This is one of the best VN i've played so far and i played a lot, quit rare that i didn't skip the texts, this one is awesome and both of the girls are really cute, Denise is heartwarming and Macy hard to get but i feel acomplished when you successfully get closer to her.
This one really change to most of the generic VN i'm greatful to finally play an adult in a some way mature story and not another kid who grind his sisters and mother.
I've see a lot of people telling that the girls are ugly but i don't agree, they're cute and feel more real that's the generic plastic girls we mostly see on VN games.

One of the best all around games there is, good everything and with unique characters which I wish was a norm in new games. And so far no Truth or Dare which is also a bonus. If you havnt given this a try you must, with the 3rd week out not theres enough gameplay to make your own conclusions. Great stuff, keep it coming

really great and intriguing story,good characters and motivations and a lot of different good sex scenes. def one of the best games on this site (Y)

Story : very different compared to most other stuff here with some familiar themes (wincest is best etc ) about loss and love and coping with it as a fam.

Renders : might not be for everyone if u dont like the pics but i think it works very well and its also some animations.

Sound: so far seems to be mostly only music but fits it very well where its used.

Performance: i dont have any problems running it at all.

Bugs : nothing i have encounterd.

Animations : they are rather good for what it is .

Voice Acting : none atm but might change in the future, who knows?

Grammar: really good and understandable english, maby just one or two minor spelling errors but nothing major.

Amount of content : definatly a lot now.. 3 weeks i think ish? about 1h 30 min or 2 hrs atleast if u dont skip text.

One of the best games, very unique, well thought out, good build up and genuine. i can't wait to see more of this game and wish there were other like it. Character looks are very different but refreshing.

Light of My Life is a true game, with consequences for actions that aren't gratuitously rewarding or punitive - life goes on with changes. It's not a reality simulator; the situation is fantastic - two unusually attractive young ladies under the care of a lonely, single man. But it's no paradise, the man is dealing with the heartbreak of a departed wife while having to juggle the emotional needs of two very unalike girls.
And these girls aren't typical Daz3D centerfolds, either, but they're absolutely and beautifully original. They're not emotionless sluts who live only to seduce or be seduced, they're still yearning for something more in their lives. A yearning which could feasibly go in any number of directions.
Our main character is a man who's sensitive, genuine, and a bit lost. That's good, as it gives us a role to fulfill as orchestrators of how the story plays out. Humourous and at times touching, this story (so far) has infatuated me to a point where I think about it much more than I feel is comfortable or proper.
I got madly lost in these girls - and the game doesn't even meet any of my kinks. For doing that to me, I lash out with the highest rating I can give a game, and furiously wait for the next update.

Not a lot of scenes, basically none, but the story, interesting premise and characters do make up for it.
Not a game for everybody, but for someone who enjoys a game which focuses on characters and character developement, this is a good choice.

What a breath of fresh air. Well written story and and characters. Also like how you move the images on screen making them emote more, very nice. I like the slow burn of the game, gives you time to getting to know the characters more.

Great graphics, unique art style, slightly different take on the usual story of "caretaker" getting dirty with his "wards". The VN is still pretty short, but it shows great promise. I only hope it will include some of my preferred fetishes (mainly anal). But so far, I'm really loving the story and looking forward to more!

Wow, pleasantly surprised with this game. The character models in the picture were off putting but after playing the game, the characters are portrayed as realistic, flawed, but still beautiful characters in their own way.

Probably one of the most realistic portrayals I have seen. Anyways, the characters are really well done, not only in the art, but their personalities. They all have their own realistic issues that as a "caretaker" it is your responsibility to help them through them. I actually give a damn what happens to the characters and I find that this is no small feat for a developer. They have gone above and beyond with the story just far and are killing it.

Very impressive few chapters thus far and can't wait to see more. The game is stunning and I entirely recommend giving it a go.

Really enjoy the dynamic story mixed with the art style and individual emotes of the characters. The game gives you a serious feeling mixed with light heart moments that bring you down to earth.

At first, I was hesitant to play this due to the character models, but this game is top quality. The writing is great and brings life to the characters to a point where even if you don't like the looks of some of them the writing just comes on top of the visuals and you start to appreciate this unique look that truly stands out from most of the games on this site with it's perfectly looking blow-up dolls and catwalk fashion models who are supposed to be just average people. The story and character interactions are smooth and natural, and I appreciate the slow unrushed pace but do think that the game should have more characters introduced since at times this game-world can feel very claustrophobic with only a handful of people in it. Overall this is that type of situation where you don't judge the book by its cover, enjoyed the game and wish the dev luck on further development.

Solid game, quality story and character design. Everything about it pushes me to continue on. Maybe a few more characters in the future to keep everything fresh but even if not you're still doing an amazing job.
