Was wondering about "many parts differ heavily from what the Japanese says" part. Why is there need to translate is exactly like it was originally? Why just changing MTL to something that makes sense (in situation where translated text appears) doesn't work?

I wouldn't say there's a need for it to match. It's certainly possible to write something entertaining that has nothing to do with the original content. But leaving aside whether it actually is entertaining or not, that isn't what I'd call "translation," it's "creative writing." That's not really what I'm here for. So as a translator, I wouldn't be satisfied leaving it as is. There's more I can do than write anything that makes sense.
Suppose that I were a translator assigned to translate a game by a company. Then my only directive, really, is to make a product that people will like (buy.) Whether it matches the source text doesn't really matter as much as whether it's entertaining to the audience.
But the viewpoint of someone who decides to do a translation project on their own for no personal gain is different, isn't it? Why do you think a person would pick that project in particular? There are a lot of games out there.
Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to do a project like this if I didn't want to make an attempt to convey what I originally experienced in JP. I'd like to think I can do that and also be entertaining, if not more so. I'm not going to point fingers at specific examples right here, but maybe when it's out we can talk more about that. You'll be the judge at that point.

So according to the game files the text appears 10 and 9 times for each respectively, but I think 1 of each is unused (dummy text.) So you probably have all of them, but it's not impossible I missed one ingame.
