my game is stuck on going to the roof to see EM, any suggestions on how to get past this?
by stuck i mean I'm stuck in an infinite loading screen when going to the roof to meet EM.

This game is obviously a labor of love, but I'm sorry to say that it will not stand out greatly in my memory.
There's way too much looking in every single room and running back and forth, often needing to google the answers, just to take one step forward in the story - A hint about which room to look to take the next step and a golden halo around things that are relevant would be a wonderful thing to implement in future games. This game feels like doing chores to get access to some porn, and the amount of choice in how the game unfolds and your individual impact on the scenes or story is extremely limited, making replays rather unappealing.
The modeling is great, the concept is great, the story is good, but the conveyance and gameplay are subpar.

I'm confused about how to combine batteries, maybe there are some that I haven't gotten yet
You need the empty package from one of the kitchen drawers. Then just select the batteries and drop them on the package to combine them.

There are 2 textbooks. A blue coding book that is in the bean bag chairs in the MC's bedroom and a Gold book "The Dragon Queen" behind the MC's bed (the hot spot is between the bed and dresser). If they're not there check your inventory you might have already picked them up.
