I totllay missed that part.
The crazy part is that big tech companies implement DRMs in their games to protect sales during the initial weeks or months after release. However, the trade-off is that it often results in the game running even worse.
In this case, the game already has poor performance and lacks many essential features and this is just a small portion of it's issues. Adding DRM would mainly hurt legitimate players.
- Either the interest of pirates is big enough to strip the DRM regardless.
- Or pirates don't care enough to even pay attention to it in the first place.
Worse case for him, would be a harsh reality check for him, if even pirates aren't bothered to crack the game, but legitimate players suffer due to DRM.
If pirates do care enough to crack it, legit players are still the only ones losing here. lol
