last reminder that kemono goes down so if any of you wants old versions of matm now's the last chance to rip it
(correct me if i am wrong on kemono)
Excuse me good Sir, do you perhaps got a source for that claim?
So from what I've found on the matter, they are just changing server providers because it's been terrible for uploaders for awhile apparently

Here's some source info I found,

MatM...I thought I had moved on, but now when I see it in front of me after all these years, it feels like a kick in the guts all over again. Even back then I was supposed to know better, but I dared to dream. Eromancer, thy name is disappointment.

I just feel old, 10 years ago....... Original artwork still looks good for an RPG Maker game even now.

In my restless dreams,
I see that game.

Malise and the Machine.

You promised you'd make a quick spin-off to raise money to fund the development this game deserved.
But you never did.

Well, we're alone here now...
In our "special place"...
Waiting for you...

Waiting for you to finish something.

But you never do.

I have to say, I have yet to find a game like Malise and the Machine, even ten years later, even though MatM was just a demo.
The dual protagonists gameplay where they have to save each other in combat, the music, the puzzles, the graphics, the unsettling ennemies. I digged the mood of the game.
Tunnel Escape by Elzee was somewhat close I guess. But MatM promised to have much more variety in gameplay.
I guess that's what it all was, promise and potential unfulfilled.

Wanted to try out the game but I’m unsure about the links to download it are they still safe? I know the game been left for awhile now just don’t want download something or excess a site that’s gonna cause me problems.

Haven't tried any of the links in this thread in forever, but if nobody has said anything about viruses and whatnot they're most probably safe

Man it's sad to think the last version of this was released nearly 10 years ago. I wish they'd kept the same game concept, story and characters, and transferred it to a new engine. They were on to something with their (optional) real-time RPG battles, and I find the art in this to be better than Pure Onyx - where everything looks even more exaggerated to near the point of goofiness.

Since they got overpaid for their Pure Onyx entry for about 3800%, they could shave off a few thousand from that to get this game some love

You're absolutely right. After taking a couple months of vacation, they should use a few thousands to improve water's physics. Then, they have to add interlaced raytracing to Malise's shoes. After that, the logical next step would be to take out some CG, then re-add them later with a filter.
The last few dimes could be used to make alternative skins only usable in a gallery mode with half the enemies of the first demo.
