The creator of a very popular manga (turned anime) called "Tokyo Ghoul" was so burned out on his own story that in the end that he altered the penultimate arc and completely changed the final arc just to finish the series faster. Fans definitely weren't happy but ultimately accepted it (though it was tied up better than this game's story obviously). I think they said they only took three months off over the seven years they worked on the series, so yeah, no surprise really.

Edited to add: I like games by Daniels K, but doesn't he do the same thing pretty much every time? Where he just suddenly rushes to end his games and move on to the next when he gets tired of it?

I'm not even going to worry about playing until the end, the game is apparently very good, but the dev ruined everything because he finished the game too early and made an extremely unsatisfactory ending.

Well ... after reading all these comments I guess I'll wait until there is a satisfying ending to the game, to not spoil my experience on this one, because it seems the game is really good, just the endings suck.

I have a similar problem on a different screen. In the library talking to the gorgon girl for the first time. Can't select anything. Hard locked at that point.

Have you perchance continued on a modded save? The now defunct wt mod had an option to select both powers each time, having added a 'skip'-option to the later menus to avoid scenarios like the above. Use either the
