There are several reasons for it:
- I haven't played a game in over three years. Every free minute my full-time job leaves me goes to developing My Dorm.
- Even if I had the time to play, I wouldn't. It's easy to see something good in another game and, as a dev, think "I could adapt/improve/use it in my game". My Dorm has been compared to Grandma's House (another game I didn't play) a lot. If I played it, I'm sure something would leak, making it even more similar. I even scrapped planned things because someone said "You could do X. GH has it". I don't want My Dorm to become a poor man's version of any game.
- I discovered AVNs some months before starting My Dorm, and I played very few of them before deciding to start my own game. Most of them were finished when I tried them. The ones that weren't (Leap of Faith, for example), I didn't finish them.
- From what I heard, BaDIK has some things I don't like in a game:
* It is tagged as a sandbox, and it's one of the things I didn't like when I played.
* You get to know X girls, and then you should decide who you end up with. Another thing I didn't like.
* Slow release schedule.
* And some more I can't remember.
- Acting Lessons left me a sour taste, so I wasn't eager to try another game by the same dev who had the issues above.

I liked Acting Lessons! I didn't like the ending, though.
Looking at it with perspective, it's great as storytelling goes, but it wasn't enjoyable for me.
And don't worry about your English, it's perfectly fine. I'm not a native English speaker, so I'm not picky when it comes to languages. Not even in my first language(s). Whoever tries and does good enough to understand and be understood in a language that is not their first one, it's enough for me.

Have to ask which ending did you get. Loved the ending with the ex girlfriend. Sorry for the off topic.

I tried all of them in my quest of saving both of the girls :ROFLMAO:
What I mean by "the ending" was the "BIG CHOICE". The game ended for me at that time. I returned to it weeks later to finish it, but with a sour taste in my mouth that didn't allow me to enjoy the rest of the game.

I'd like to largely agree with the previous speaker. I really enjoy playing both your VN and GH. Yes, on the surface, VNs seem identical, but in the details, they differ significantly. I have never, and will never, compare the two VNs. I always consider them separately!

I don't want to and won't comment on AL and BaD, as they're both on my blacklist. I have my valid reasons.

Nope. Spaniard here. My proofreaders wouldn't agree about the perfectness of my English :ROFLMAO: . 238 corrections in the last update (over 29,123 words).

I can only confirm that. Your code is definitely in Spanish, which makes translation a bit more difficult.
I tried to do it the other way around, writing in English and then translating into Spanish. My lazy brain simplified the English sentences too much, so the "poetry" and the "flow" were lost (especially when the narrator "speaks". The narrator is a bit cheesy). I tried to do it for a couple of scenes and abandoned the idea.

I live in Barcelona! And I agree about Real Madrid. The most hated club in Spain (because of all the times they cheated) and also the most loved (because they won because they cheated).

Of course, my situation is a bit unfortunate that your VN is originally in Spanish and has already been translated into English, and then I create another translation based on it. This does not detract from the quality of your VN!

I never played BaDIK, so it isn't. Any resemblance is pure coincidence. I played Acting Lessons, though, so if BaDIK has anything in common with it, perhaps something leaked unconsciously.

From all that I heard, in BaDIK you should choose among certain girls, and in My Dorm you can go full harem. That's a big difference in my book.

Just out of curiosity, which similarities do you find between both games? As I said, I never played BaDIK, so please don't say Samantha's story is similar to X girl, because I won't know who X girl is. Well, you can say it for the benefit of other players, obviously.
I've never played it either. No interest.

Oh, for fucks sake... This game is a COMPLETE copy/paste of BaDIK.

Don't believe me? See:

- Both games have women. Check.
- Both games have a male main character. Check.
- Both games have a house. Check.
- Both games have people that say things. Check.
- Both games have use of the same words. Check.
- Both games have scenes with dialogue. Check.
- Both games have scenes where people have sex. Check.
- Both games have a School. Check.
- Both games have people with Red Hair. Check.
- Both games have people with Black Hair. Check.
- Both games have people with Blonde Hair. Check.
- Both games have people that take showers. Check.

And lastly...

- Both games have a thread page hereon F95. Check.

There you go. A blatant copy/paste business. Try and deny it all you want, facts are FACTS.
