Yes, doesn't make sense. The only way to make Alex dominant is to chose every dominant option for MC which makes him submissive in stat overview, i.e. option "You are the dessert." says it gives AlexSub+1 DavidDom+1 Love+1 but David's role is going left toward submissive every time.

The game has submissiveness and dominance values for David and Alex, if you go the NTS route and make David aggressive, then yes, the situation you described is possible
