Facts. As a matter of fact, chapter 3 ends with us thinking Maki had just sent our girl a message to send the photographer those sexy pics. Then in chapter 4 Vi just hand waves it away saying they aren't ready for that yet.

True. The developer is traumatized at having made Ari suck a random black gym bro's dick so early on, so now he's overcompensating by having no NTS or NTR beyond handjobs, and Ari and Vi just blowing their boyfriends. WOO!
For real though, I also feel hesitant giving too much earnest criticism about the pace, because...I get it, the more it escalates, the less room there is to escalate to, but fffuck me the blue balls with this game is unreal right now, especially when these animations (that I don't personally really care for that much) turn the development cycle from like a month to month-and-a-half per update to three-and-a-half months per update (though I vaguely remember him saying something about his computer exploding or something, which seems to be suspiciously common for these porn game developers for some reason).
I think the dev should start thinking about how to "expand" the project (i.e. widen its scope beyond Eric and Vi and their friends and families), or even planning a new project with new characters, and create a plan to actually finish MNGF's story, and not keep milking it forever, which will invariably lead to trying to stretch out every "milestone" hot moment for far too long as per the current status quo. Honestly, in my experience, he could make an almost identical story, just with different characters and in slightly different situations, and that would more or less reset the novelty for me.
For me, at least, this last update took way too long for way too little pay-off, so I won't renew. I'll keep on checking in on the game, because I love these characters, but if upcoming updates are the same as this one, it's gonna take a good couple of them before I'll feel they're worth paying for.
True, to be honest. If I could just forget about this game and come back to it in like two years, I'm sure all this build-up would be insane to get to go through...but on the current timescale...eeeh.
this is how cliffhangers always work in VNs!! the next chapter after a cliffhanger starts with "...anyway! moving on!"
because they aren't ACTUALLY intended to tease what's coming next, they're just a way for devs to end the chapter without having to actually write a satisfying ending

As an erotic author (e-books so far) yes, wholeheartedly agree with this statement. Even saw a quote once on a documentary about Pornography in the early days. I think they were talking about Debbie Does Dallas or something, "No one cares about the town slut getting f*cked for the umpteenth time, they are more interested in the novice, the girl next door, taking her first steps into debauchery," I'm paraphrasing that heavily, but it's a tale as old as time.
When I write an erotic novel, or short story, I follow the same principal, so when I see that followed here, I'm in love with the story right away. I actually really enjoyed this Kinetic novel so much, that I'm inspired to try to create one with the artist that I collaborate with on Cover art. Due to time constraints, it might never happen, but if it ever does, I'll probably skip reading the comments if it ends up on here.
As for the title "My New Girlfriend" itself, excellent pacing, great design, decent writing. Author should continue following their plan, not give into pressure from the fans that lack patience to watch the characters follow a realistic path. You don't go from virgin to whore in the span of a day or two, so when I see a novel or game that does that, it's off-putting, unrealistic, and the emotional payoff is weak at best.

One of this game's strengths is that it doesn't imitate other games, but rather strives to deliver a fresh experience. I truly admire this aspect of the game
It has some weaknesses, but I will definitely continue following its development
This game knows how to evoke intense jealousy without relying on internal drama - a challenging feat that NTS developers must master. It's typically difficult to experience the strong jealousy of Netorare within Netorase, but I fully experienced it during the second part of this update

I don't get the outburst and drama from some people here? The game is really good and the story very detailed. If you don't wanna support the game, then just don't. It's simple and if you do enjoy it, support the dev. And please let the dev do what he wants. It's not our game, it is his game and his fantasy we can all enjoy. I liked the new update, keep it up. Even if it takes long. People will wait in the end if its good

In chapter five Laura says to Vi that she couldn't have any more kids and how her husband ended up leaving her. That would make the MC a step. Yadda yadda yadda. I edited the text to say the following below. It starts at line 807.

I think the final scene of the update would have fit better if Ari sat with Eric and Vi with Sai, like it ended up being for the dance. It could've followed a similar frame with Ari teasing Eric and Vi teasing Sai, but Ari blows Eric instead while Vi verbally humiliates Sai (since that's the direction it seems the dev is going for there). There's a similar level of NTS for Vi giving a dude a handy, there's some more for Sai with Ari blowing someone else and Eric actually gets some action. Only consideration is that I don't think Eric and Vi have discussed him getting some action, but she could've easily talked about it with Ari privately and the couple talks about it after.
Big plus that it would be easier to generate since the scene could be portrayed in a splitscreen instead of having to generate three people in the same image which I imagine takes a good deal of effort. Of course, the people who just want Vi to get gangbanged by the neighbors already would still be annoyed that she's not completely slutting it up yet, but overall I think it would've been a more pleasing resolution.
ON THE OTHER HAND, leaving Eric blue balled with Anya is drunk and horny is a good opportunity for them to find Maki and Rob doing something and for the siblings to actually get something going on in the next chapter, but I don't think it's going in that direction (hopefully I'm wrong).

VI's storyline is excellent
I hope the storylines of the other three important characters - two stepsisters and stepmom - will be just as compelling as hers
If the other three main characters were to engage in sexual relationships with other men at this point, we wouldn't feel the same intense emotional/sexual impact we experienced with VI's storyline. This is because we haven't yet developed the same level of intimate and emotional connection with them. It would lean more towards Voyeurism rather than Netorase, and I think we all agree that Netorase > Voyeurism
For instance, if in the next update Anya is to engage in sexual activities (such as blowjob or otherwise) with another man, it would be more effective to structure it where she first shares such moments with MC in the first half, then with the other man in the second half. This way, you can fully experience the sexual/emotional tension and excitement
