But what about the action?
In action:
Sai: He has a girlfriend and received an great handjob from Eric’s girlfriend
Rob: His fuck buddy is his own step-mom—he fucked her from every hole, and got an amazing blowjob from Maki, and even touched Annie’s ass, etc
Eric: He has a girlfriend and received a handjob from Maki

Eskadet covered most of my response. Rob is already at the end of his "corruption" journey (if the term applies to men here) while Eric's arc is just starting out. There wouldn't me much room for growth in his character or interest in his story if he immediately just banged every girl who showed any interest in him.

But there have been more than a few hints made about what the next scene might be, how about we wait and see hmm?

EDIT: Also as an addition, this is an NTS game first and foremost, even though CG wants to blend other genres like harem, NTR, ETC into it. So yeah I mean it was time for an NTS scene hence the stuff with Sai. But Sai's still gotten way less attention from all the girls (including his own fucking girlfriend) than Eric.

I think the sensitiveness regarding some particular tropes, gives a slightly warped view of what really happens in the story. Sometimes pattern-recognition in games is legitimate, sometimes it just reflects our own fixations.
I consider myself as part of the nts community, but I can't really relate to that uncompromizing search for purity. As I like when stories aren't too predictible and when things get blurry/chaotic, up to a certain limit I guess.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most of the dissenters would take this as a point against it not a point for it.

It seems like there are two debates/critiques simultaneously happening which get mucked and blurred together.

1) One is the notion that Eric is taking a backseat to the action, playing the proverbial 'cuck', and the game is headed in an ntr direction.

This I would very much contest, as you and others have pointed out, Eric gets more than his share of action, and I think this view is overly alarmist and doesn't reflect what's actually going on in game. To a reasonable person, Eric has gotten plenty of action both from his gf and others, and I don't see any risk of the game turning into an mc beta boy simulator, nor does it have strong ntr overtones.

2) Second is the notion the game is overly focused on bbc tropes.

This is a little harder to defend, while on one hand there have been plenty of scenes not involving this stuff, there also havent been any scenes actively defying these tropes. An example of that would be a girl having a negative reaction to Rob or his brother, or Sai being the most hung, etc. This is what I was referring to in the lede. While Sai's character certainly helps disproving (1), conversely he strongly aligns with (2).

Anya's dialogue has been improved to better fit her character and corruption level at this stage of the history.

Literally every single - and I do mean every single - woman in the game has shown sexual attraction to Eric. And his dicks a lot more than "decent" even if he's smaller than the one BBC character we've seen thus far (I do agree it'll be a bit of a dull cliche if they all turn out that large). What do you want? Every single scene to be about Eric? The guys going to pull mad pussy, he IS the white chad you're looking for. He literally had the black neighbors wife feeling up his meat and wanting her hands all over him, both his step-sisters blatantly want him, Ari wanted his dick from the moment she saw him and there have been some hints she might get that soon.

Seriously, it's crazy how depending on which update has just come out the pendulum swings from complaining about how Eric gets too much attention and is too much of a chad because all the girls want him to complaining about how it's black domination. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, literally every girl has implied they're highly attracted to Eric (or at least for some, his cock), and at the same time yeah obviously there's BBC themes as well.

I do personally believe not every single BBC should be larger than Eric because it's just tropey and dull to me, but even if they are it changes nothing about the simple fact that Eric has been the single guy with the most girls gooning for him in game. I find the over reliance on racial tropes often overdone in NTS/NTR, so I agree on that much. But the rest is just complaining about nothing, for no reason. CG has implied he wants to not overdo tropes, either you have some faith in that or you don't.

I don't know who complained about the game when and why. I just played it today and shared my opinion. I understand that you are very passionate about it, but you probably misunderstood me. I understand that Eric is successful with women, and I like him as the main character. But this does not change the situation overall. There are 2 white guys in the game, and they are cucks. Also, there are a bunch of black guys here and they are all shown as super chads, and they all have even bigger dicks than Eric. I don't see a problem with interracial, but here it looks kinda weird. My second point was that there is no black girl, which I personally count as a miss, but that is just my taste.

Sadly black girls are much harder to work with, pony's database comes from danbooru, and even though there are 189k images tagged with dark-skinned female, that's paltry compared to the light-skinned female entries. And far less when you start to filter those by ones that fall into the high ratings that actually get used. This makes getting a consistent skin tone with dark-skinned girls hard, and even worse in sex scenes. Illustrious is much, much better at this but that's not at play here.

That being said, don't assume there won't be a dark skinned female quite so quick. You never know what CG might have in store.

How can this kind of stuff pass the filter of the Patreons acting as quality control?

I finally finished the game, and I’m genuinely impressed. It also got me horny, which is rare for me since I usually think of myself as pretty lame. I’m not sure what the debate around NTR and NTS is all about. I kinda get what those terms mean, but it fascinates me how fixated people are on them. I literally have no issues with the game, and then it got updated, and I was like… why? I played it and noticed the changes, but honestly, they felt unnecessary in my opinion. Any reasonable person can see where things are headed, and at the end of the day, the dev’s job is to mess with us a bit, right?
That said, I’m fascinated by the tech and AI. People might think it’s easy work, but it’s really not. AI is like a different kind of art, right? As I said, it’s fascinating. Keep up the great work, my friends. Also,just my pref... the SoA story is better because I just hate reality… it’s boring and SoA kinda brings fun into the play... but thats not here or there... aaanyway ;P
