I agree mostly, but I do enjoy the eye candy of the island and the exploring.

PS You really are into the revenge thing
Getting revenge for the murder of his parents is what brought MC back from the North. It is the point of the game for me. I'm not into Pearl or any of the Island girls so there's nothing in it for me at all. I mean, in my personal view of things MC went with Eliza to take materials to the building site, then went off into the woods for a pee (aka - went to save Kira and Pearl and then on an adventure on the ship to a lost island), and then will come back to finish building the house. That is about how I see the significance of everything happening now. I absolutely don't care about any of it or anyone involved. I just want to get back, hand the pirate twins over to Brenda, build a house with Eliza, cut Taron's head off and then settle down in the country. I have no interest in saving the world, or ruling the lost island or anything like that.

I still really have no idea why you're so eager to give Brenda a free pass. She's just as guilty of wasting the MC's time as everyone else in this woeful arc.

I love my Eliza, my No1 girl. I can still appreciate the beauty of others...

I mean, I can "appreciate" it - from afar, because I have no interest in being with any of them - or really even being friends with any of them. But looking at pretty girls from as far away as I can get really doesn't make for much of a game.

Can we appreciate Kira walking the plank and being thrown into the sea for the sharks :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I would love to appreciate that (with most of them).

Because he's blinded by revenge and common sense and logic does not factor into it. :)
It's not even revenge at this point so much as just being sick of them, and of them all wasting my time. I wish I could have just killed the bird and not gone at all or at least slowed down just a tiny bit when I got there.

??? Dess! I'm surprised at you. Poor Kira, unloved and unwanted.
That's the limit of my pity for her, where is that plank. You grab the burly, a shark or two will make it more interesting. :devilish:

You don't have to jump any girls bones on my Eliza save. I do enjoy eye-candy and the island is full of eye-candy. Even Eliza likes eye-candy.

If she was on the island enjoying the eye candy with us, I assume he'd be happy. (y)
Happier anyway, I'd still consider this whole adventure a bloody waste of time, and rescuing the pirate twins counterproductive but it would be a substantial improvement.

Edit: Hey, do you think when/if we find this diplomat we can accidentally fail to rescue him?

The problem with that is he's stagnating just staying in the capital.

All of these adventures are powering him up so he'll be ready to face the trials that are coming. Without Eliza getting crippled and his voyage to get the chalice, he would have missed out on so much growth, such as the healing crystals. Same with going to rescue Kira/Pearl. Diana is exactly the kind of sparring partner he needs because he's outgrown Eliza martially. All these baubles and magic he's picking up on the island will help him in his eventual fight with Taron and whatever lies beyond. We, as the player, know that Taron is a bit player in a grand scheme, and while Taron is definitely written weak, there's no telling what the next bigger threat will be like and the MC should be as prepared as possible for it.

Threat to who though? I mean, MC doesn't know about any of it - except Taron. He's the only one I'm after. After that I'll happily become semi-retired and head back north with Eliza. If it's a threat to the kingdom, they can have it. I feel like (among many, many other problems) MC is getting dragged along through all of this without giving him any good reason to do it, or to care.

Not just the baubles and trinkets, he's collecting allies. Whether you romance these ladies or not, Pearl, Diana, Luna etc, etc, etc, are going to be a part of our army.

Taron is after the MC. He wants the MC to give into rage/despair for some reason. We aren't exactly privy to the why but I imagine it has something to do with letting the other Nephilim get his hooks in him if he does so. It's specifically why Taron targeted Eliza and did what he did and later tried to disrupt the MC's growing relationship with the royal family. You're not gonna be able to be "semi-retired" because there are those out there that know who/what the MC is and want his power.

Except MC doesn't actually know any of that. He just knows that Taron's a dick. From a player's POV we might have our suspicions but from his POV he's running around the island to save people he doesn't like, at the request of someone else he doesn't like, for no good reason - when he actually has other stuff to be getting on with.

No, you don't like them. Literally nothing the mc has does has suggested that he doesn't like them. Him befriending Kira, Pearl, the Islanders, Luna, Diana, the royal family is all stuff that's set in stone from a story standpoint and a large part of the story seems to be the mc slowly getting allies. The choice is whether or not the Mc's feelings for these characters is strictly platonic or romantic. But just because you don't like them or care about these characters doesn't mean the mc is the same.

Even the fact that the Mc rushed off to save the twins is because no matter what you do he at least views the twins as friends even if he's not interested in either of them romantically.
