I am happy to not have a healthy update cycle in return for a more choices. You can compare the development cycle of games like Baldur's Gate compared to Assassin's Creed. I don't see the issue with different looking renders, different suburbs in real life have different aesthetics. This can be seen in mainstream media too, think breaking bad where the Mexico scenes are quite yellow (frankly too yellow), but you also see a difference in directing in those scenes too (e.g. the symbolic crawling scene).The game has a lot of promise, but I think the number of paths should be severely cut down.
Some of them are entirely different and use 100% different renders than the rest. As much as I enjoy it, it's not realistic to have a healthy update cycle with so many routes.

I think I've seen 3 paths, although there are 10 factions in the game.
In my case, the first time I ended up accompanying the Cyborg girl to her town, you talk to her and you can sleep there. That's the end of the chapter.
There's another path where you meet a vampiress (who seems quite evil) and if you want you can join her faction, but it's the worst developed path because it ends there without even leaving the hospital.
Finally, the third route I found is to get the coordinates of the Resistance base from a dying girl by the aforementioned vampiress. This path is quite long and has a lot of content, including the summoning of a demoness.

Sorry for misunderstanding your original post. Yea, what you're saying makes sense of course- it is defs a personal choice. I don't like repeats, I have played many CYOA games and when seemingly important choices all converge because the dev team didn't want to spend time developing extra sections I get a bit annoyed. I don't blame them, development costs money and/or time, esp if you look at indie games on f95, but it more so annoys me when AA/AAA games do this.Somehow I didn't see your replay until now.
When I was talking about different renders I didn't mean their different style/atmosphere, I actually love the different settings and ambiance this game offers. I meant that most paths don't repeat any renders already used in other paths, which makes having so many different routes even a bigger challenge.
In other games that have several routes, devs tend to repeat some of renders and dialogue for several paths, making their lives easier. I love your philosophy and the amount of freedom you give the player, but this understandably means that we cannot enjoy playing the game too often and therefore be as much invested as otherwise its quality grants.
