For as long as I've played it, the controls have never been displayed and that's been over a year, at least. Was never that important to me.

He cited personal reasons. Whether personal or simple burnout, he's entitled to stop if he wants. At least with him, he told followers and fans up front before he stopped, unlike others who just dropped off the map with out so much as a "by your leave." There's no rule that says that you have to abandon the forum if you stop working on a game. I'm sure that he's conversing with other devs, mods or would-be devs that he's established friendships with in this forum for whatever reason.

Not active, he hasn't posted since January. Visiting the site isn't active. There are plenty of people that visit the site, visit every so often and visit once a week or month, that's not very active.
He also already said last year he was no longer going to communicate with people in this thread about the game anymore.
