Honestly, the answer for this question is: "Yes, if I get my holidays in June" Those who followed The Dark Lord Rises know that I like to put out larger updates once a while rather than insignificant ones every month. The plan is to have each update = one route, but who knows how it'll go.

Good news is, this game structure will allow the game to avoid fate simillar to TDLR; even if I were to abandon the development before completion, each route will be stand-alone and complete experience on it's own.

Looks promising, especially with the multiple routes showcasing different styles of corruption. Will keep an eye on this, I hope it doesn't end up abandoned.

And yeah, usually doing less but more substantial updates is better. Helps the game stay focused and cohesive. Some games that get monthly updates just end up unfocused and bloated due to little planning time and the dev scrambling to release a handful of scenes by the next deadline. Just... Try to deliver when the updates actually come.

Not gonna lie, when I saw the title I immediately thought this would be an Eden of the East porn parody and got super hyped. To those who aren't familiar with the anime, the main character wakes up with no memory of his past, has a practically infinite sum of wealth, and a cell phone which gives him access to a virtual receptionist willing (and able) to do literally anything he asks (including controlling political leaders and assassinating people), with an overall goal of "saving" Japan.

Yeah. That plot is begging for a porn parody remake.

Hello guys. So, as mentioned in my previous post, I recently got my hands on RPG Maker MV and been tinkering with it to my great enjoyment. While there are some problem here and there, I feel new engine fixes at least some problems I had with with VX Ace. So, I finally decided.

The Dark Lord Rises will be back!

That comes to me especially easy since it seems that no one bothered with continuing my original project (or at least, is hiding it from me :>). Also, since I learned the software as I created TDLR, there are some shortcuts and solutions in original that made my head ache over and over during development. I can avoid most of those starting a new game with MV.

Now, this means Noblesse Oblige for now goes to the side*. Well, that's one of the reasons why I don't bother with Patreon; I like to work on something I like, not force myself to reach some deadline or other commitment.

When shall new Dark Lord come out? Christmas, probably, autumn at best. I'd like it to be more than prologue and short story arc, and to tinker with graphics some more, so the game at least doesn't look like generic RPGMaker product.
