It's funny because I remember when NT00 originally finished the story, people were really wanting a wholesome ending with the MC and Yumi in his comment threads. So that it would just be Netorase and not hardcore NTR ending. Which is technically what we got originally with the two of them ending up together as a couple. A "happy ending".
I recall NT00 saying they were unsure of what they really wanted to do with the direction towards the end, so they continued to keep making what-if scenarios and that's also when they remade/updated the entire story to what we currently have. But it definitely seems like the spiral into inevitable and true NTR is what we're going to get by the end of this story arc.
I feel like if NT00 gets scared and decides to pull out and give us a "happy ever after with the MC" when we're already this deep into the Netorase/pretty much NTR "play" at this point, then it'd kind of feel like a cop out. But a "happy ending" for the "true ending" could happen because they've been making separate "Sadistic Yura/Yumi" side content which has been actual NTR/Femdom. Personally, I'd be fine with whatever, but for storytelling purposes, the MC should face the consequences of his choices as a cuck for the true ending of this arc imo.

Tbh for me Yumi is just trying to go that far to 'wake up' the mc , and imo he 'll kinda stop them before it's too late and that 'll reach the ending were it's 1 year later and she is pregnant ' Last year was risky' aka if you didn't react.

I'll never understand anyone who wants a happy ending to this story, when the damage is already done! Your happy ending would simply call into question the fact of why all this started, especially since you could have had your happy ending if the artist wasn't basically in the “NTR” genre. Besides, do you really think that a guy who can only get a hard-on when seeing his girl get fucked by another guy would change so that his couple becomes more traditional? How naive you are... In this world, it's easier to change partners because of what we don't like about each other, than to change partners because of our own fantasies, and even if this work is fiction, the thought of a happy ending is simply nonsense. “But if there really is a happy ending to this story, then I'd say the author never had the balls to continue what he started the story for.

I am fine with anything NT00 decides so long as it doesn't become like Netorare No Tami [Hard NTR for 6 months then back to NTRS] - that feels like a waste of time.

Then he started post-ending content called

Which seems to indicate anything from that point onward is detached from the main ending of the story.
Its a large, unofficial, extended IF route. Though you can call it canon if you want since its been built since 2021.
Bottom line - true ending is monogamy with no netorase.
