You CAN have netorare with happy endings btw. It’s just rare and needs decent writing otherwise the NTR falls flat.

From what I know, the cuckold fetish doesn't include the loved person being stolen away, they stay with you.
And it is quite hard for me to imagine how there could be a happy ending if the loved one gets stolen.

Edit: A caged cuck won't fuck his wife but she remains his wife.

In technical terms, a cuckold just means a person whose partner has sexual relations with someone else. They can know or not know about it. In NTS they obviously know about it (since they are doing the lending out), but in NTR they can be clueless about it.

Usually if it's NTS then the cuck is enjoying it, and NTR they are suffering but can eventually enjoy it. The partner can leave the cuckold in both situations, more common in NTR though. And a lot of NTS do turn into NTR and vice versa in the end.
It’s incredibly hard to define, and I’m quite busy, so hopefully someone else can explain it better. :p

A few NTR has happy endings. Mesu Nochi Torare has the GF coming back to the MC.

If the girlfriend/wife actually does abandon the boyfriend eventually, i feel like thats the point when it gets way less interesting. In some ways i guess it makes sense for that to be the logical conclusion but i just hope theres alot of stuff happening before that point, since at least for me thats when i would most likely lose interest

Yeah the story is pretty much over, which is why it happens at the end usually.

Last two are main the tropes, majority of NTR games end up doing, Id probably find something else to Fap too
Same for the girl becomes a whore at the end is big one.

Turning the page is actually really dam good NTR, it has tropes sweet wife falling in love with huge cock, good dialogue, actually felt bad for MC. I was surprised how good this game end up being. I usually don't care for MC much this one got me good. NTR Knight another good one falls into "Hypnosis" more if you don't like this trope you will hate Lust marks which about the same thing the child hood friend MC loved end up with Lust marks basically few people is after her in training camp including another childhood friend wants her.

Best NTR out there NTR SAO and part two has a lot tropes, big one is always MC has small penis

The western style cuckhold is not the same as NTR, that's why it's used as an insult. It's closest to netorase, but different in that Netorase adds that feeling of loss. While with cucking you dont get that loss. You share your girl, then she goes home with you etc.

But we all have this argument on here every few months, so I dont think there will ever be an agreement, lolol

I'm of two minds. On one hand I despise the concept of that test, what with the implication that it should be made mandatory on every story to fix some imaginary problem, in order to fulfill some arbitrary quota or agenda.

On the other hand, I do believe that the whole angle of "two (or more) female characters that interact among themselves beyond their relationship with the MC" is a bit underutilized in the genre. There are a lot of hot scenarios that could arise from that, such as a more slutty BFF slowly corrupting and leading the girlfriend into a dark path, or even lesbian NTR.

The interactions between females in Henteria Chronicles are quite improving the immersion in the game, don't you think?
