Just the cream of the crop.

rpgm
  • Mind Luda, Wailing Guignol, Consider Nanaha, C.U Nitro Nil well-made but overly dark games from Cli-Pick. Banned there, so there's a chance you've not played them. Depressing, but that is what you get with a well written serious ntr game.
Could anyone give a short summary/setting description for these games? They always come up as they are extremely dark and NTR focused, honestly, I am a bit afraid, but if any of those have a setting I like I'll give them a try.

The games are long so I won't give the summary, but what makes Kuripick's NTRs heavy is that the MC suffers in ways we've never seen before, the game uses a lot of rape and pedophilia too, which adds another dark element.
And basically the whole universe is conspiring against you, like in Nitronyl we're the kryptonite of the girl we love.

Wailing Guignol is the only one I really played, the other I just couldn't get into tbh.But in that one basically some bandits come to the village the MC lives in and start banging the girls. Starts with the MCs mom losing a fight with the bandit leader then getting raped and turned into a cum rag. The MCs girlfriend then slowly gets corrupted while she has to serve the bandits in their camp.

Gameplay is the MC trying to free the girl, while exploring around and solving a mystery story wise.

The games are very long though, which a lot of slow parts.

In technical terms, a cuckold just means a person whose partner has sexual relations with someone else. They can know or not know about it. In NTS they obviously know about it (since they are doing the lending out), but in NTR they can be clueless about it.
That's not right. Cuckold relationships are based on trust and comunication. Cheating =/= cuckolding. When trust is broken, most likely your relationship is broken as well. You are mixing two things that are similar but different. If you don't know about it, then she's cheating on you. That cheating can turn on in you the "cuckold trait", but the cheat alone is not cuckolding.

And that's one of the mess involving NTR and cuckold.
Netorare and cuckolding are similar in a certain way, but they're not the same. That's why Netorase came over, to help categorize cuckolding inside the "netorare tree"

From Merriam-Webster:

Being cheated on literally makes you a cuckold. That’s the purest sense of the term.
If your partner has relations with someone else, regardless of you knowing about it, you are a cuckold.
We do have an archaic term, wittol, that’s used when you know and tolerate it, but that’s just lumped into the generalist term cuckold now.

Generally, the difference is how you respond to it.
Like it and even encourage/tolerate it? Netorase.
Dislike it and wish it to stop? Netorare.

Yes, like can turn to dislike and vice/versa. Therefore, I tend to use the majority rule to classify works.
If a significant number of scenes revolve around the MC enjoying the cheating, then it is NTS (netorase).
And if he is suffering throughout the scenes? NTR (netorare).

I do agree the lines between NTS/NTR often get blurred. In those cases, it can be useful to defer to the legendary words of Mr. Stewart: “I’ll know when I see it.”

You are correct that the literal definition of cuckold is a man whose wife is unfaithful.
However the word is used connotatively for a man who is both aware and accepts his wife's unfaithfulness.

In the west, Netorase would be Cuckoldry while Netorare would be Unwilling Cuckoldry.

Wiktionary actually places the "unaware" or "unaccepting" aspect as the primary definition:

This makes sense, because "cuckold" as a term derived from the cuckold bird placing its offspring in unsuspecting bird’s nests. And this ignorance is a prevalent theme among many NTR doujin. In the comments section of many NTR doujins, users still refer to the unknowing husband as a "cuck/cuckold." It’s a fitting term for someone who raises, or will raise, someone else’s kids, heh.

I get that cuck/cuckold has a negative perception (and many don't like being labeled that), but the more specific term "wittold," is super archaic that no one uses. So "cuck/cuckold" is used in popular vernacular to cover both cases now.

There's also a sexist undercurrent behind it too. That a man who can’t please his wife (and stop her from cheating) is no man at all. So even if he doesn't know about the cheating, it’s still somehow his fault for being a beta that can't please a woman.

Some people will exclusvely use cuck/cuckold to imply a man knowing and enjoying infidelity, but not everyone does.
For a lot of people, if they see a man cheated on in a doujin, he’s a cuck/cuckold (like every housewife doujin lmao). Regardless of whether he finds out in the end.

I don’t personally mind which terminology people use for it, it’s pretty easy to gather from context, but regular Joes do not make the distinction between cuckold/wittold, so everything is cuckold to them (and they are actually correct in this usage, like calling a chihuahua a dog).

agree with most of this one, though i'm fine the heroine not being so cookie cutter at the beginning. definitely the one that annoys me the most is the last one. if it's basically just torture for the heroine what is the point lol, am i supposed to care about the bull's perspective here? if they even qualify for the label? where's the porn

definitely dislike the "double ntr" where the player cheats as well though at least i understand why people would be into it. appreciate that it's optional in mirage, but it's alright if it's unavoidable, game just isn't for me.
Oh yeah, even if a game contained all of the stuff I don't like, I wouldn't say it shouldn't be, just that it's not for me. As far as the cookie cutter beginnings go, for me it's a matter of contrast. A girl who starts as a wanton slut just doesn't fall as far as a girl who lives by a moral code, and NTR is all about that sweet corruption of the girl's relationships (imho) and morals, and this is why NTR type A doesn't elicit any feeling from me other than "a sucker is born every minute".

being latin american makes things easier regarding this subject. We use the words corno or cornudo and everybody understands.

do you like doing the vanilla/true ending? I tend to do those types of endings first and then do the NTRs because that way I'm already more connected to the characters and I like the feeling of loss more.
Yes. My game has a full vanilla/secret route for that purpose. I always believed that the presence of good makes the bad that much more satisfying.

Knowing you could have had it all, then threw it away in favor of ugly bastards. Mmm... corruption.
I think I’ll post a vanilla scene here since it’s fitting. Technically, it could be NTR since the MC isn’t having sex with the main heroine, heh.

This is a scene with the “secret” heroine, Shiori. Thanks to my loyal fan for commissioning this fanart.
I can’t post the larger, uncensored version here due to commissioner’s request, but Patrons can find it on the fansite.
