I mean it's a real shame the dev pivoted to his OCs instead of focusing on the Disney girls, considering yes the Disney girls were one of the main reasons many of us followed this and paid for Patreon in the first place. We love Disney girls, we grew up on them, they're hot, we want to fuck them. I wanted Disney girls. Many fans of this game wanted Disney girls.

And we all know the reason he did this. It's because he can only sell the game on Steam using his OCs. He can't do that with Disney girls. Completely selfish reason, and definitely not "oh I just wanted to create my own vision and world" which he never stated was the case.

I mean, yeah, but you can't forget about copyright issues, he did put OPT on steam but due to copyright issues he had to change the art of the characters and they might as will be OCs, and going in the direction of a game with OCs will be less of a hassle for him, and will be a great way to introduce more characters that could play a part in future OPT games.

Personally I like the ocs better than the disney character designs, so I don't mind the new direction. I'm gonna wait for the new game to get some more content before I try it out though.

“Completely selfish reason”

Funny way to describe the need to make game development and paying a team sustainable.

Also Salty never had to say that he wanted to explore the world or characters more. It’s obvious with the fact that…that’s what he’s doing. In his games.

I guess they could've strike a balance with the princess (disney/oc ifed) and the ocs...like how he did with opt 1 where we had 3 princes (4 being Rapunzel) with his ocs of emme and meli (and technically tinker and other one of patreon characters) and when it came to opt 2 the only princess we got is Jasmine (with the actual jasmine as patreon reward) and focused more on the ocs... which was slightly disappointing but with the rushed ending and (cutting an unknown character) it wasted it's potential...but in the case of l&c I guess it'll be in the oc territory or may have some princess as well (like perhaps the inspiration/muse or model for the androids or something) to maintain its oc territory

ah yeah because just making a game with OC's from the beginning instead of luring people to pay for a patreon using Disney girls wasn't an option. FOH

Bro what are blabbering about, that guy has a good point, if you are salty about you pay for patreon, no pun intended, and the games not meeting your expectations then fine, but don't let your frustration spill onto us.

Okay just to end this ridiculous discourse—
for those of you who apparently just CAN’T swallow the change in direction, may I suggest the game Park After Dark? It’s got a similar humorous tone, seems solid in quality, and has little to no chance of prioritizing OCs in the future.

just…go play something else. Stop making your disappointment everyone’s problem

It does look interesting, but the art is a bit bland? But I'll give it a fair trial before judging from the art style. Thanks for the suggestion asethm.

I honestly don't mind the OCs, the only complaints I have are that there is only one returning Disney Character from Chapter 1 in Chapter 2, and only for a short bit; that the brothel quest is offscreen mostly with little interaction with the people of Agrabah; the lack of the Jasmine reward in the Patreon (non-Steam) version due to the author forgetting to fix it; and the Android version crashing to the home screen when going through the brothel orgy scene epilogue.

Alright so the steam version of chapter 2 is bugged, its missing several images for key story scenes (you can skip through thanks to ren py, but that defeats the point, if most players are finding a glaring bug in the main story line, thats terrible), is this the patreon version? I heard it has some of the images

You'll find the patreon version chapter 1&2, plus the steam version of chapter 1, and what you're saying is very interesting, I thought everything was fine with the steam version of chapter 2

Steam chapter has multiple bugs:
1. A key scene where you meet a character has its image files missing, people found them in the old patreon versions when they open up the archive.rpa multiple people on the forums have mentioned it, and have for atleast 6 months. This is a scene on the core storyline, and it even happens twice! so you have the error twice.

2. I got a 'you reached the end of the patreon questline, thank you for your support see you next time' scene. This may be my fault, I copied the files from the patreon version to the steam version (not replacing the files there!) in an attempt to fix 1, even so its nowhere near the end of the game so that should have been scrubbed.

3. There are people complaining that they have to enter the patreon content code, not had that issue yet.

I know the dev got burnt out, I get it, I won't complain they wanted to switch projects, but some of these bugs are well reported, and you are advertising the game as complete.

Also I wish chapter 2 was a DLC for chapter 1, they share so much content, and the core location doesnt change, it just means you have to switch games to see the old gallery, you cant access any of the costumes from 1 in 2 (many reappar but not all), and most importantly regrinding stuff out.

I do hate how games insist on having chapters, I get it, its better for business and people need to eat, but man why are we doing a porn as a service model, make a sequel try something different, stop just adding more

if people are voicing their disappointment you don't need to run to defend the developer like they're your father. You know that right? If you like the game then feel free to keep liking it. Stop trying to police how the rest of us feel, If we feel cheated and want to bitch about it then we can.

so don't respond to this, go enjoy your game.
and I will keep voicing out when I feel a dev has not done a good job for any game.

I think it's also a capacity issue. Making the file size too big could cause problems in certain engines like Renpy. Not a developer, so this is just a guess.

I know you said don’t respond to this, and frankly I know it’s probably healthier for me to stop engaging here, but it bothers me that you are basically telling us that the people who appreciate Salty’s work and want more stuff are wasting their energy while the people who don’t want more of his work are somehow using their energy wisely.
if you don’t like it, that’s a reason to move on and find something more enjoyable.

also, “defending“ Salty isn’t the point for me—I’m just also a creator and i know how I’d prefer people to approach my work, so I try to approach others work the same way.

Asethm has a point here, if you don't want to support the game and it isn't enjoyable for you anymore, it is all the more reason for you to move on, you have voiced your opinion already, you don't have to keep reminding people of how you see that the developers are shitty scummy people in your eyes, it is not healthy for either you or us, move on unsubscribe from this thread and find some other game to enjoy, and have a great rest of your day.

Just found about this game and chapter 1 android version seems to be 1.0 while for other devices there's 1.1.
Maybe I'm blind but I couldn't find chapter 1 in the changelog at all.
Is there a major difference between these 2 builds?
If so I'd try to get 1.1 to work with joiplay rather than downloading the 1.0 version.
Does it also have animated scenes or is that only for chapter 2?
Multi-chapter threads are always a little confusing to me :HideThePain:

I literally said to not respond to this but you just couldn't help yourself now could you.

the dev sold people a concept then double dipped to make more money.
