Ian and Alison not only have been classmates, they have been friends. She always liked Ian and now is in love with him too. Ian/Lena dating and then breaking up over some trivial shit fairly early (or just don't have them together in the first place) and Holly with high enough value of her change variable. So long as Ian has been nice to Holly (doesn't need to go on a trip with her, just be open to the proposal) she'll be making moves on him.
