The “good girl Lena and good boy Ian” romance route is enjoyably well-written indeed. Great romance, as well as including “Holly cute girl” in the relationship.
I really enjoyed my initial playthrough, in which Ian “semi chad” gets involved with Alison, and Lena “semi posh” gets involved with Robert. And then came Ian and Lena's excellent internal dialogues, about them being totally conflicted and confused because of their relationship traumas and insecure about each other. It's very good build-up that Alison and Robert become “empty” to them, compared to what Ian and Lena begin to see in each other. This isn't stated in any of the dialogue, but it's very clear. And so that's where I realized that this was great writing, and that if I focused on the romance, I'd be well rewarded.
