I'm a bit weirded out by the dialog where they bring up Futaba's mom. Is this story taking place in Maruki's happy ending or something or did the creator forget that Futaba's mom died?

While this is obviously a super early build, it looks just like the base game and i have very high hopes for this project. I will observe your career with great interest
Could be literally a persona 5 parody... like the events of 5 havent happened yet.

I don't think he's forgotten the death of Futaba's mother, the dev seems to be a big fan of Atlus games and particularly Persona.

Then Joker couldn't of even met Futaba or even be in Leblanc for the game to be there to begin with.
