Without chemical encouragement, do we really think Kevin has the nerve to restrain Brenna against her will? I think strenif's theory of Brenna slipping and Kevin catching her makes more sense.

If she just slipped then where would his shirt and her bikini have gone? Kevin would absolutely panic and keep digging his hole trying to prevent Brenna from getting Sterling and Catherine who'd beat his ass just for being in the house let alone attacking their sister.
