The problem it's not that the updates are slow. The problem here is that, by the dev's own admition, he hasn't been working on the game most of the time. I follow a few games that take a while to get updates but when you play them you can see why the dev took so long to release it. That is not the case here. The updates aren't that big and during the time that the dev was supposed to be too depressed to work on the game, he was rambling on twitter about how he was spending hundreds of hours playing games like FFXVI.

Right thought he said was going to testers today wonder if it ever made it. I'm of opinion that the completed chapter 5 isn't going to have a whole lot more than 5.a already had hopefully wrong

For me this game peaked at V0.3, but yes, V0.4 and V0.5 were disappointing. I agree though that the lack of communication and commitment to the schedule are ruining it.
for reference the last update (the first half of ch5) had about 390 renders, in 9 months it's an impressive 1.4 renders per day

Yeah I never played the alpha either. I have a feeling that the full chapter will still very small but we can't really do much about it.

That's prob good thing wasn't a whole lot in 5a not that you want to hear that wish I would of waited, yeah the way 5 was rushed in few weeks to get complete I to feel it's not going to have very much

SirD admitted that he wasn't working on the game most of the time so there is no way he can release a big update. I just hope that after this, they get their shit together and start releasing updates more frequently. Considering the sizes of the updates until now, there is not reason for them to not release at least 1 update every 4 months.

Only way they can get their shit together would be start from zero. Story is an unfixable joke. You just can't fix bad writing from where they pushed the story.
Mmm if chapters 2 to 5 were just a dream by MC being shocked from having 3 daughters showed up in the door... then maybe?
