When you fight the first time against a bewitched woman (I won't say too much so as not to spoil the surprise for the others) and you lose (because you can't predict the specificity of the duel), it's game over, no save. As far as loosing progress, renpy has an autosave feature enabled, you can usually just load a save on page marked by "A" and it will be fine. Although, it's the last fight in this update anyways.

I just finished the current content, i.e. I beat the librarian, and I have to say I enjoyed it overall. Since other people have already brought up some of the UI issues, the only other thing that bothered me is that your energy depletes so quickly. As a result, a large percentage of your playtime is spent spam clicking between work and home instead of actually playing the game, i.e. battling people or interacting with characters. There's simply no skill expression or any redeeming value to that kind of grind at all. The card game itself I found to be pretty fun and I didn't really mind losing to rng or being ambushed by weird match conditions. It felt like I always had to be on my toes. Overall, a really fun start to a card game. (Oh, and I really wish you had a different game title.)

Monica, Mia, and Alex don't appear to have a way to get their record to say "wait until next update", but I have all the upgraded cards and everyone else set to that. Is there something I am missing to get those three to tick over?
Games like these make me wish more devs could just have the money to pay for a decent artist. The game is pretty fun, but the ai-art is a turn off for me in a lot of scenes.
