so it was ~2500 80 renders instead of 70, that is a HUGE difference. i am not even gonna mention you counting the animation frames cause that reveals that I lied is pure cope. also while you are not defending him keep in mind he didn't give enough of a shit to inform his paying supporters that he is done with it.
Oh my bad, I forgot that anim. frames cost no time, I think you should tell the devs, that they should only do anims in the games, and it would be done instant.

I'm not defending him.
I just call out your lies.

If you think his silence is bad (which with I agree), then why do you need to lie more about his work?

Another good game ended because it didn't have sponsors.... He wouldn't quit it if he had people funding this game. Kinda sad because if you continue with this venture creating a good game you'll eventually get the revenue. Can't blame him for giving up though... It's a lot of work.
This project did not suffer from a lack of support. There were many subscribers, good income. But the developer was not satisfied, he started to try to improve the situation, which was not understood by the subscribers. The last update was very small in terms of new content and story development, people started to leave. The developer promised to fix everything in a new update, did something for about half a year, but then just disappeared. Many subscribers were ready to come back after the release of the new update, but it never came out. That's pretty much the whole story.
So it's not about low support, the developer himself brought the project to such a state.

" I said in beginning I'll give myself a year to reach minimum wage. I'll try to push myself and have a beefier amount of content by June because end of June will be the turning point where I decide what to do going forward. "

Renamed himself, but you can check his other post, this is the dev's account.
While he said that at the beginning of the project, he still continued after June and now he didn't even announce that he stopped

It's not that animation renders don't take any time, it's that the overwhelming majority of developers only count the story renders when they do their changelogs. Therefore, it's what the users do too.
Also worth noting, those animation frames weren't even for the story, but some sort of extra mode. So he did 2500 frames of animation for a side feature of the game that nobody asked for and released 70-80 renders for the game itself. I think that actually makes him look worse.

It's interesting aswell, because he said on patreon that all the money would go towards the project, what was leftover to charity. So for me it makes the situation doubly confusing. I don't know a whole lot about game development, but for those who do, was his patreon support not enough to sustain the games development?

In fact, if he hasn't hired other people, the development is worth next to nothing. Renpy is free, DAZ has to be bought once, models for it can be found for free or made by yourself. So the costs are only for him, for his life.

This game came onto my radar a few months ago and I had no idea it was unfinished/abandoned. Sad to hear so, but if the dev couldn't make enough to sustain himself, I completely understand the choice to move on. Personally I would have quit earlier and find a quick way to wrap up the story - especially with all the extra renders given in this topic, but maybe the developer never had the time to do so.

Review is up. 7/10 for the graphic quality, the story seemed like it was thought out well but never came to frutition. That made it seem like a 6/10 - but I agree the presentation raises it a full point extra.

Hope the developer is alright somewhere and who knows, maybe he can take a crack at a new, smaller project sometime in the future.
I'm posting a synopsis of the game's story on my site later this month.

Sure but what I don’t understand is why not making an official statement to inform your (paying) patrons that you stopped instead of ghosting (milking) them
