you understood wrong. dev never sais anywhere that he plans to abandon or put the game on hold. he was talking about once the game is completed(v1.0 or whatever)

As soon as there is any idea of a redo, I feel like it's bad news because too many developers embark on a redo without finishing the game, and then it's another long couple years of waiting endlessly

I agree with you that there are too many female characters, so the consequence is that there's not much of an impression of any of the women in it

"Now, I’m happy to say that things are moving forward again. The work on the 0.75 update is almost done. I’m currently working on the last two scenes—both of them are pretty long—but I should have them ready within the next two weeks. Alongside that, I’ve already started the postproduction process: fixing the code, editing the images in Photoshop, and making everything as polished as possible. Since I’m implementing paths for each girl, I’ll probably need to render a few more images to make sure everything works perfectly.
After that, the final step will be creating animations. My goal is to release the 0.75 patch by the end of January, and I’m excited for you all to see the work that’s gone into it."
